Watched Digi's video a little over a day ago, and I was both surprised that he took a solid stance on that side, as well as that he does make a lot of sense. If the episode were to go with the 'her friends back off and give her the opportunity to pursue her dreams this time', Spitfire and Fleetfoot would have even less reason to display themselves as slightly stuck-up winners. Would have been interesting, at least.

Odd topic? I think this topic's been talked about in all sorts of topics discussing Discord's redemption xP It's not at all odd. That said, I find the answer simple, because I'm one of those who's on the mindset of, 'No, he's not, and he's not evil either'. As Megan said herself, he's now the 'Not-always-reliable ally instead of the known enemy'. He's chaotic neutral at best, not good, nor evil. He accepts the fact that trying to take over the pony universe anymore with what he sees as fun, will end the friendships he's discovered that he enjoys having, but that doesn't mean he's stopped being a chaotic, sneaky and trollish character. In both the premiere and Three's a Crowd, I think he's displayed that perfectly. Others will blatantly disagree, but their pony underwear is in a bunch so feel free to ignore them that's what makes fandoms go round.

What's happened to Spike this season?
NavelColt replied to Silanda's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
Yup. People love to establish an observation and then run with it, I feel like. Power Ponies was more or less a Spike episode, and he's had a fair bit of screen-time, lines and overall impact on S4 between the premiere, the third episode, and others. I don't see how Spike's been subjugated to any neglect or what have you, especially considering we're not even halfway through the season yet. On top of all this, keep in mind that many of the episodes seen thus far have needed to focus on one or more of the Mane Six, because of the ongoing 'elements to open the mystery box' theme, Spike can't be on screen, half the time in every episode. -
Your reaction on Flash Sentry in the new episode

Seems like the amount of hipsters on here who cling to season one and two as pure gold, and get butthurt over the slightest piece of pandering or anything similar in recent seasons has skyrocketed. Yet I wonder why I keep posting in Show Discussion so much, some days :3

did no one else notice the GRUMPY CAT CUTIEMARK?!?
NavelColt replied to derpykitten's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
Wow, I'm just missing shit left and right here. Didn't even notice that guys' cutie mark. That's pretty funny xP I for one am not at all bothered by pandas being thrown. They're fluffy. I find it cute how people in here make it sound like the worst thing in the world, and that it's ending the show for them, practically. Limitless amusement. But hey, it's not my life. I bare thee all good luck in hopes you find a show that doesn't bother to interact with it's fans whatsoever :3 Meanwhile, here I am, still enjoying things as I always have. -
Dashie is getting dumped on in S4?
NavelColt replied to FullMetalDash's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
Sounds more to me like a matter of individual perception, bud. I pride myself on having been a Dash fine since episode 1, and while you look at those three things as examples of her being mean or uncaring, that's not how I see them: - She doesn't care about AJ's apples, except for her cider. Well, no. She loves cider, specifically. Expressing love for AJ's cider doesn't mean she doesn't care about AJ's apples or her livlihood in general. Dash is brash, and is not one for thinking about what she says or how others are going to precieve her, ahead of time. I don't think love for one byproduct she loves, and trying to ensure that byproduct gets made, is proof that she doesn't care about the other end result or what her friend does in general. - She is more competitive against AJ. Dash and AJ bond over their competitiveness just as much as they're in it for themselves Rarity takes Fluttershy to the spa to do girly things because they're more feminine classic, whereas AJ and Dash are both die-hard tomboys who use competition as a means to hang out. - Her "Best flyer of EQ" ego is growing. Indeed. She was pretty cocky in Rainbow Falls, especially. However, she did kick ass at the Academy, and she's done nothing but prove over and over that there's proof to back up her boasting. This is the same Rainbow we've seen since the beggining, she boasts. Whether you wanna debate she does it from insecurity or some other factor, it's what she does, and it's been as take it or leave it then, as it is now. -
Hey man, they just show up to buzz around and look pretty, their trainers are the ones with the brains! |'3 It's an interesting concept, not one I'm against possibly making apart of my headcanon. Wings have been a focus for injury a lot in the show, and they seem to get over it quickly enough, though without specific time stamps it's hard to say for sure. This particular episode was the only one with definitive quickness to it, from what I recall.

Two Things I'm Still Geeking Out Over
NavelColt replied to Shine's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
The Slenderpony thing was more of a, 'HAH, I didn't even see that. That's really interesting that they actually put something like that in there'. But that was it. Cheese Sandwhich however, I am very excited about. Granted, it's not like I'm the biggest Al fan in the world, however, his pony specifically, looks and acts just like Pinkie's R63 form, Bubble Berry. Same personality and mane style and everything. The fact that there's a pony like Berry in the show now, makes me very giddy indeed.- 19 replies

Chrysalis was owned by Cadence and Shining Armor's love, together. It was a force multiple times more potent than any power she individually possesses. Sombra was not beaten by her. All she did was get thrown by her husband like a football, fly around the plaza, and throw the Crystal Heart back into its pedestal. The Crystal Heart then proceed to obliterate Sombra, itself. Discord wasn't owned by her, unless I missed the scene where they kick-boxed :3 If anything, she's underpowered xD

Your thoughts on the new site: stop the cloppers
NavelColt replied to Skeleton Kin's topic in Sugarcube Corner
CD is a clopper and everyone knows he's completely safe. Right? It'd like to remind folks that this is Sugarcube, not the Forum Lounge :3 While many of you have been giving legit feedback, there have been plenty of posts thus far with nothing but a reaction image and a 7 word response that doesn't really add a whole lot to the discussion. Just because the character minimum's lower doesn't mean quality isn't still encouraged -
Hullo :3 Welcome to the largest growing pony message board community out there! I'm sure you'll continue to enjoy the show as you go, I'm personally enjoying season 4 the most of any season, so far! I hope you enjoy yourself and have a great time.

A thread by AB the Ancient Pony, back from the beginnings of the site! Oh, what an enjoyable relic I never use my OC much for anything, sadly, although I know I should. I had a few week span where I finally got the motivation to create a character, got his entire profile sorted out and got a few commissioned art pieces of him, then sort of set him aside. Oh well, I'm sure I'll use him more when the opportunities present themselves. -- Name: Repulse Magnet Type: Unicorn Gender: Male Appearance: Repulse is a pony with a color scheme that is almost exclusively shades of blue. His coat is a diluted shade, whilst his mane is a far deeper shade. The ends of his mane and the streaks of his tail contain a lighter sky blue color, and the irises of his eyes are a perfect solid blue. He's a stallion with an average body build, a shortish multi-striped tail and a short, sectioned-off haircut, being slightly longer in the back than his bangs in the front. Cutie Mark: Repulse's cutie mark reflects the planet Equestria is located on, as it features the very pull of gravity that influences ponies every day. The planet is wrapped in a circle at the center of four arrows; a symbol reminiscent of the 'Center of Gravity', a scientific concept for locating the center of an object's weight distribution. Hobbies: He enjoys math and science, with physics being his favorite subject, as it correlates with his talent. Additional Details (Magical affiliation & talent): While lacking in most magic departments, Repulse's talent revolves around gravity magic, making him a natural master at it. Using this affinity for manipulating gravity, Repulse can repel or attract almost any object away from or to himself. He is also capable of turning gravity 'off' in about a one-hundred foot radius or so for ten to twenty seconds, or turning the gravity off on specific objects for a far longer duration. He's been known to use the later power to create floating nap platforms out of rock or brush, much akin to how pegasi sleep on clouds. Anyone else sick and tired of Mare Do Well hate?
NavelColt replied to Mywas's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
I don't care for the episode myself, which can most easily be explained by this comic poking fun at the episode, but I don't 'hate' upon it, nor do I see regular hate towards it. We've moved several seasons on from it, most people aren't going to talk about it unless they're referring to a specific event or, as others in this thread have pointed out, listing their favorite or least favorite episodes. -
:3 You have your own story now, too, and will have more in the future. Time is forever moving forward, and there is mountains and mountains of pony to be had. Welcome to the site, OP!

Let's focus on how awesome Discord is!

Clones/Duplicates/Whatever word you want to use. They were all the exact same Pinkie Pie, but they also lost individualism for their personalities the more duplicates were created. The pool is like a big copy machine. Alternate dimension Pinkie's would look and possibly act different than the Pinkie Pie we know, because at least some of them have gone through completely different things than she has.

Why didn't Twilight notice Flash Sentry?
NavelColt replied to Champion RD92's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion

Whoa, can people shut up about Flash being in there as yet another easter egg and focus on how awesome Discord is? GAWD. It's like half the fandom never takes off their background pony goggles, it's all they can focus on, ever Glad they explained how Fluttershy was taken out of the picture before the problem and its' duo antlers even arrived. I hadn't been thinking about it at the time, but Fluttershy being there would have made the plot pointless, obviously. And that Dalek reference entrance was the best thing As were the various little visual gags happening from his sneezes. From fire to gravity-losing houses, it was worth many chuckles. I NEED ATTENTION, I NEED SOME CARE. Don't you worry, Discord! I'll give you cuddles, and read you stories, and tell you all about me! ^ Best quote this season, I swear. Another slice of life episode to give you some good laughs, and more shenanigans caused by Chaos Incarnate I liked it, overall. Always fantastic to see Discord again, his sneaky methods of being the center of attention and causing dilemma for everyone else was amusing, his song and shenanigans were given a fresh scent due to the new theme of him being sick which was even more nice, and I've always enjoyed seeing characters interact with characters they never have before, so seeing Cadence's reactions to Discord was equally awesome. The premise was rather cool, as well. Being in the midst of a long-time-waited-for enjoyment, only to be pushed and obligated into something you really don't want to do is a really tough situation to go through, and Cadence being there makes it worse, so Twilight's lessons continue on and on. Notes: I loved the invisible 3D effects of Cadence's Health Bubble Shield, that were made all the more apparent by how Discord continued to play around on it like a jungle gym TwiCord has gained a dramatic dancing scene. Prepare yourselves, an influx of TwiCord fics and artwork are coming. Seriously, his song itself was made priceless by the scenes going on more than the song itself XD I chuckled throughout the entire thing. The creativity, references and hilariousness was awesome. The ending, and the entire song actually, vaguely reminds me of 'Friend Like Me' from Alladin. There was a blue guy singing in that one, too xP Oh dear god, he made himself a giant golden air throne to mock Celestia's golden carriage XD This is the best thing. Oh dear god, the sequel :| Was not expecting a giant creepy flower serpent worm thing. Of course he was faking, Twilight :3 Come on. I expect fan-made metal-works of that TwiCord pendant to come out within the week Yay, Cadence appears in the show again, by the way. Fitting ending for Discord, and a decent lesson. Yay~
