  1. @Blitz Boom @Lil' Lovebug "Huh?" He spouted, rubbing the middle of his forehead. An incessant ringing had taken space inside his head, all the while he was here and back home, and it had only decreased in volume when he was around company. It seemed queer to him, but he seemingly forgot about that fact. "S-Sorry," He answered, sparing a sheepish smile, "My head's been ringing since last night. I don't know how to get rid of it, and I can't lose it." He rubbed his forehead again, it felt like pricking a scab.
  2. @Blitz Boom @Lil' Lovebug Starburst feigned a laugh at Satin's downcast expression, and added, "Hah, that was um... funny?" That's the best you can do? Chris chastised him within his mind. Shut up! Starburst retorted.
  3. Tanaka-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge (Tanaka-kun is Always Listless) If cartoons, then either the Amazing World of Gumball or Rick and Morty. Tough pick.
  4. @Blitz Boom @Lil' Lovebug Starburst suddenly felt the weight of the package he had strapped to his back, his only reason for being here... other than to escape the dragon outside. "No, not at all. I haven't given much thought to same sex relationships." He looked around at the crowd before continuing, "I probably won't as well, though I don't condemn them." "And yes, the dragon outside, and delivering this," he gestured to the package, "is what's keeping me here still. Any other questions?"
  5. @Blitz Boom @Lil' Lovebug Not concerned about it... as if. Starburst was ripe with worry, rapping his hooves against the table in an impatient manner. If a dragon was just stomping around Ponyville at this moment, who knew how much damage it would cause. Starburst had only entertained the notion and hadn't expected the taloned creature to be there, buzzing about like a hummingbird. And if that thing so much as lay a finger on the Canterlot Hospital or on Celestia and Luna's castle, so help him he would... "I-I'm sorry for making it awkward." He said to the both of them in an apologetic tone, more so to Satin. "I'm not used to being around mares a lot. The only thing that's still keeping me here is the dragon outside."
  6. @Blitz Boom "Uh... too close, too close." He muttered, stepping a few inches away from the changelings, apprehensive at being twenty metres within range of a mare. A mare that he barely even knew. "The dragon flew off into the distance though. It looks it avoided this inn for the most part - lucky too." He added, glancing over at the calmed audience.
  7. @Blitz Boom@Lil' Lovebug Starburst nodded at Vivid's statement, "I did like it. It was interesting how you used your wings and vibrated them at a certain frequency to create soundwaves." At that moment, he realized that he had spouted a series of entirely nerdish words. "Uh, I'm sorry for that explanation." He craned his head down.
  8. @Queen Chrysalis Servant @Techno Universal @Maple Bat @Strong Copper @Star48955 @Trixie . "Believe in the heart of the cards..." Starburst heard a tiny murmur from his human subconscious, and was quick to ask him, "What does that mean?" "It means walk faster. Hurry up to this rebellion raid, I'm hungry." "How are you even hungry? You live inside my mind!" "It's metaphorical." Starburst sighed as his hooves crunched on the hard packed dirt, under the watchful gaze of the moon, followed by the shining white pinholes in the sky. He was supposed to feel livid at this, himself joining a rebellion. Instead, he felt nothing at all. Only just an empty feeling. He crept closer as heard sounds over in the distance - a shout hear, a yell there - but it gradually increased as he got nearer. Stumbling out of the bushes, in the middle of a pack of corrupted ponies and changelings, was Starburst. "H-hi." He murmured, waving a hoof.
  9. @Blitz Boom For only a moment, Starburs allowed himself to be taken in by the music, but once it had ended, he was stunned. Lightly shaking his head, he turned to Vivid, who asked him a question just a few moments before, "That would be Satin up on he stage. Interesting, yes?" He nodded in response, adding, "Yeah, that song she sang was amazing."
  10. @Orange Sparks "If I had a girlfriend," He commented, "Which would probably be never." He let out a small laugh, a sort of a mix between a hearty and joyous laugh and a harsh and hoarse one. He said, "It's okay if you ramble. Nothing bad is going to happen." He gave her an assuringly convincing smile. "Now, can we please head back to some other place?" Starburst spoke, pulling the sleevs of his jacket over his own hands, "I'm freezing out here."
  11. @Orange Sparks He scratched his raven's nest of hair, sheepishly trying to come up with an answer, "Geez..." "I imagine you as a sort of cute girlfriend for some lucky guy." He leaned back against the hardwood bench, his back never having felt this good before. "That, that's what I mean by arm-candy. And..." He turned to face her, his eyes nearly poking right onto her still-developing antlers, "... why do you think you'll just be used for getting looks?"
  12. @Orange Sparks "I'd think you'd make good arm candy." He remarked once more, honestly, and tried instead to give her a warm grin, flashing instead a sort of weird, strange kind of smile. "I haven't smiled this much in a long time." He added, jamming his hands into his pockets and sighing out a puff of cold air. "So you'd rather just wait for a while before becoming a princess? That's a free-spirited way of thinking, but I don't judge," He muttered, "If it was me, I would respectfully decline... if they had a backup just in case I declined. If not... who knows?"
  13. @Orange Sparks "Though, you are a very good-looking arm candy, I have to admit." He commented, "And I would highly disagree. Some princes are actually quite nice. I know this one prince from Saddle Arabia, that..." He shook his head, "...nevermind, that story's long and convoluted." "Speaking of which, you're a princess?" He asked, chastising himself for not asking that sooner, "I didn't expect that."
  14. @Orange Sparks He gave another small smile at her attempts at trying to make him feel better about himself. The damage had been done, long ago, and only Pinkie had first dared to try and patch it up. And as he heard her talk about the royalty thing, he nearly let out a laugh... before taking into account her slight stutter, as her being legimately serious and embarassed. He, was in disbelief, "Eh... eh?!" "S-sorry," He hurriedly answered, "but I'm okay with being just a friend, a close one, but a friend nonetheless." To patch up the damage, he honestly added, "There might be a better prince waiting for you one day."
  15. @Blitz Boom Starburst backed up into the inn at Vivid's suggestion, getting one last look at the dragon before shutting the door, sure that the lock would automatically reapparate on the door. "Who's Satin?" He asked Vivid, but it was more to himself. Shrugging it off at an absence of an answer, he panned his gaze over to the stage, where so many other ponies were starting to turn their attention to.
  16. @Orange Sparks "Thanks," He replied sullenly, giving her a small smile,"I appreciate that. Really, I do." He let out a decrepating snort at himself, after fully digesting the 'proud of you of you for how far you've gone' part, "Yeah, I'm sure they will. They'll see me as this," he gestured to himself, "and they'll feel proud. I'd hardly believe that."
  17. @Orange Sparks He reiterated himself, "I was born in Manehattan and lived there for sometime before..." He cut himself off, wondering if he should spill the one piece of information that was sacred to him, that only Pinkie and her friends knew. "...before my parents... died in a train accident." He gulped once, trying his best to brush off the gushing pool of regret he felt - that he still felt. "I travelled to Canterlot and became enrolled into Princess Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns at my father's request and caught the attention of the princess herself, eventually becoming her most faithful student... other than Twilight Sparkle."
  18. @Orange Sparks "Yeah, it kind of does..." He murmured, staring at the constellation before looking down, "How cliche." He drummed his fingers over her shoulder, the coarse fabric of his wool sweater meshing against her jumper. The wind was picking up, and he felt a chill begin to creep up his spine. Pulling her closer, he felt Patience's warmth emanate from her, warming him up. "I feel cold." He said, as an excuse.
  19. @Orange Sparks "Really?" He cranes his head, staring up at the stars. "You should show me that meadow some time. It sounds really nice." Hope there's a river or a pond nearby there. "Your big brother... oh, he's the guy who advised you against coming over to me." He snaps his finger in sudden realization at that fact.
  20. @Orange Sparks He snickered lightly at the wiggle of her tail on his waist, and answered, "I work there and live in the top loft in the Sugarcube Corner." He tapped his hand on the railing, "So how about you? You said you lived in Ponyville, and I've been out and about there for sometime... but I haven't seen you around. Do you really just stay in Ms. Fluttershy's cottage all day?"
  21. @Orange Sparks Starbursr completely understood everything she had just said, and his calmed beating heart had begun rapidly beating again as he crossed his hand over her shoulders and gently brought her closer to him. In an attempt to calm her down, or in an attempt to show that she's not alone, he gave himself an excuse. He certainly didn't need a friend. The world, and him, was fine with Starburst being alone. "It's okay... you're not the only with bad social anxiety." He mentally facepalmed himself and added, "I give out the worst advice."
  22. @Orange Sparks "Oh, so you are a deer, that makes much more sense anyway." He teased, giving her a slight smile before craning his head downward. "So what if you're a deer? You're still a living breathing thing, right?" He remarked at her comment. And he thought he was timid and socially awkward. Well, technically, he still was. "In my book, at least that's something." He started, continuing with, "And yes, I know what it feels like to be alone. And also, you're mistaken. I'm not from Canterlot. I was born in Manehattan, lived in Canterlot for the remainder of my childhood, and currently live in Ponyville in a place known as the Sugarcube Corner." He cut himself short, knowing how long he had talked for. "I-I'm sorry. Do you have anything to say?"
  23. @Orange Sparks Her answer was eerily generic, and he half-heartedly expected that. Nonetheless, he still accepted it. "I didn't want to seem like a jerk by just leaving," He answered, feeling a burst of confidence all of a sudden. "That's why I stayed."
  24. @Orange Sparks "...how about you?" He heard her voice call out then, as she leaned on him, as they sat on that bench in the middle of the park, under the shining pinholes of the night and the giant white ball radiating a modicum of warmth across all who basked in it. His nerves were still shot, but now they seemed... normal? They weren't as over the stratosphere like they were in the club - which he admittedly would like to get back to - but it... he didn't know to fully describe it. "I-I'm fine." He managed to say, not stuttering as badly as before. "The park is really nice at night." That sentence was the truth. Canterlot Park was the only place, except for Princess Celestia's castle, that he felt truly safe in. This was the only place where he could truly be alone, only with himself for company. He could hear Chris snickering loudly within his mind, and blowing a rude raspberry at him. And so, under these conditions, he asked Patience something that he wanted to ask before, and he meant 'before' as in a few minutes (or hours) ago. "Why are you still here with me?"
  25. @Blitz Boom He nodded, surprised at Vivid's acceptance of him venturing out to wonder at a dragon without a fight... then again, seeing the dragon was easy, it was the staying alive part that was going to put up a fight. As the mare pulled off a series of admiteddly unecessary safety procedures to open a lock that she must've put - which in itself was an unecessary procedure - the apprehension that had dulled down due to adrenaline started bubbling up in his gut, threatening to peak at its highest point as she opened the door. She turned to him and flashed a minor smirk, "Are you coming, child?" And she pushed the door open fully. He saw... nothing, no dragon. Starburst let out a sigh of relief that he hadn't known he was holding, and crept out of the inn. And in the distance, in the horizon, he saw it, a large jet black dragon flapping its wings like a buzzsaw.
