Puddle Duck

Some new stuff. The first one is a random pony I drew after talking to a friend about annoying coupon ladies. I noticed after I finished that she looked a bit like Minty. The second on is the wip of my Hershey, Apple Swirl and Puddle Duck in the gen 3 style for a drawing meme.

Despite the fact that this should probably go into my non-pony thread, I'm posting it here. Reason 1: The pony version is the original I built on. Reason 2: I really wanted to share this where more people would see it. Anyway, I really wanted to show how simple details can change the species of a character. The initial head could easily go pony or dragon depending on coloring. Then I added a new nose for the dog and a third nose was created and used for both the cow and deer. The cow and deer also got their own ears making each of the four animals distinct. I was only going to add the dog, but got carried away. I titled the original "Finals Week."

Thanks so much! You're welcome! I was hoping you'd like it. Thanks, I'm going to keep practicing this new style. It's really fun and generally a lot easier. First I have to pick up new nibs. My poor tablet is all scratched up because I didn't notice my nib had gone bad. Of course the nib I like is the one nib that doesn't come with a spare. I have around 8 of the standard black nibs and 3 or 4 felt nibs, but I hate them. I tried the flex nib and never went back.

Another cat here. Traits: lazy, sarcastic, aloof while also capable of empathy, will work for food. My favorite places to nap are sunny spots and on clean laundry fresh from the dryer. I have been told the way I contort my body while sleeping seems quite painful and exorcist-y. I'm very flexible and my balance is generally spot on. I'm also prone to moments where I think I'm fantastically awesome and then collide headlong into a wall. My go to meats are fish and chicken. I'm skilled at catching insects, mice and frogs. My Halloween costumes as a child and now as an adult are almost always some kind of cat as well. My most recognized piece of clothing is my turquoise and black Cheshire cat hoodie complete with cat ears XD

Kiri said people like WIPs so here's one that I'm currently working on. It's gunna be my first post on Tumblr so hopefully it comes out good. I included a little info on the character's history. NOTE: The colored picture was not drawn by me. It is explained and credited under 2017. 2009 - Puppet was created as the first of my own species called Spiral Cats. I created her on Second Life and then drew her on paper. She ended up scrapped after a watcher on FA copied her design, started using the doppleganger as her fursona and claimed I copied her. 2010 - I revived the design, but as a standard cat for two commissions (the origin of the original Read drawing) and two of my own drawings. I bounced around between characters after that. 2017 - I changed my icon on FA back Puppet. Despite having a plushy in the picture that was based on an ex's 'sona, it is one of my favorite pictures. Then in April, Read contacted me out of the blue when I was having a bad fight with depression. She had come across my icon by chance and decided to redraw the picture for me. I was so happy to get surprise gift art I cried. The plush was still in the picture since it had been too long for her to remember who the rabbit was. It was a bit awkward for me until I realized my stuffed bunny from last Easter is very similar. We're now saying it's Choco the rabbit and not my ex. XD (I've included the redrawn picture for reference. Credit to Read on FurAffinity.) New info for the design - She is now a he. The character is not transgendered. I forgot the original was a girl and had already gotten it into my head that she was male. I'm going to change his name as well. Puppet Runo is the name I go by on most everything online, but I don't think the name suits him. Not sure what I'm going to call him though. Something will probably come to me while I work on it.

I never liked it and still don't. I think my phlebotomist feels like a monster every time she sees me. As for the dentist, I only freak out when it's time for the shots (I can never get away with less than 5 to numb me). Then I just go to sleep XD

Sunny and warm enough to have the window a/c on low. I'm not looking forward to the weather in a few days. I'm terrified of thunderstorms and they're listed morning and night for several days in a row.

Depending on how sick I am I'll play a video game or read. If it's not really wet and/or humid outside I'll go out for fresh air. If it's really bad I'll just sleep. I usually run a fever a few times a week so that doesn't get me as bad as other things. The entirety of February I was down with a nasty bug, I had a cold for two or three weeks in in April and I've been fighting an upper respiratory infection the last two weeks. I've made a lot of progress in my manga and comic backlog and I'm making steady headway in a couple different video games.

Playing a Facebook game and listening to Kitchen Nightmares. After I run out of energy points I'll switch to Sims 4, but that will most likely be in the next ten minutes. XD

More old drawings from 2012 because I've been fighting an annoying respiratory infection the last two weeks and have 0 energy. Zen Zen the Lemur and Pengu in Deadpool costumes. Then there are two of Pengu without his costume. Pengu and Zen Zen are two of my characters from back then. Pengu was inspired by my love of penguins. Apparently we had just watched Happy Feet 2 because I list Under Pressure as the song I played while drawing him. Zen Zen, I think, was inspired by the lemurs in Dinosaur.

Sorry for the double post, but since this is a new one I'd like to keep it separate. Here is the Starlight Glimmer pic I promised. I drew her up and then added the bottle detail so this one is called Spell Gone Wrong. I'm sick once again so I really just slapped some color on this one to get it out of my queue. I'll probably do the other ponies with bottle designs later.
