  1. Looking at this, it reminds me that I need to build more connections at some point. So far there's only one or two people I have regular connections with. I'm hoping to get to know more people who know about my field in the fall.

I have heard about the whole internship thing and it's highly recommended for people getting into game design, although it would be dealing with the IT help desk. Not all that exciting, but it gets you familiar with computers and I can at least say I have customer service experience.

I also wanted to mention that I like that you mentioned being specific about career goals. If I said I just wanted to do "game design", it would cause a lot of confusion, as it is too broad. I hope to be versatile, but mainly doing the art design is my best option since I tend to pick up art techniques pretty quickly.

  2. I agree about the Oscars thing being really pointless, it almost seemed like it was meant to be attention grabbing.

The whole concept of celebrity worship and status reminds me of all these TikTok stars I hear about who do literally anything for a few thousand views, going so far as to put others or themselves in danger. The types of people who make those things are going to live most of their lives in regret once those views begin to dwindle. The same can be said for some celebrities who fall out of the limelight in just a short amount of time.

What also comes to mind is how people pay all this tribute to dead celebrities they don’t even know personally. I understand wanting to honor a fallen hero or remember someone who made some really inspiring music, but plastering “RIP whoever” everywhere sounds more beneficial to the people saying it than the dead celebrity and their family. Paying tribute should be a thing to do out of respect, not to point the attention towards you for being “a good person”.

It’s also interesting you bring up cash grab games like Fortnite, I feel as if nobody talks about those games. Those seem to get a pass even though they are finding every way possible to exploit players financially. It’s also funny to me how I hear so many complaints about the violent and sexual games yet that hasn’t stopped anyone from making them. Teach young minds right from wrong, and that is what will separate them from toxic mindsets that so many people have developed.

  3. Probably a good thing that you quit before something bad happened to you at Macy’s like it did that one guy.

Quitting is always risky, but there’s lots of jobs out there (good jobs) that are willing to hire people. Look around for help wanted signs or ask people for recommendations if you’re not sure where to go.

Also, you’re not wrong for standing up for your principals. Those are important to have because you don’t want to surround yourself with people that don’t share in your values.

No, no, you're right. Rainbow Dash is the out of place pony. Whistle Wishes is actually supposed to be there, but it's confusing because they look so similar. :please:

I meant to say Whistle Wishes instead of Brights Brightly is what I was trying to say :ButtercupLaugh:

I remember that. It seriously confused me at first and I still can't wrap my head around it. Rainbow Dash's sprite looks very similar to Whistle Wishes, so at first glance I remember thinking that there were two Whistle Wishes on screen. That'd be something.

Haha I think I meant to say Whistle Wishes. It’s been a while so I got them confused :/

  6. I have both the GBA game and the DS game. I absolutely love the GBA game  Fun fact, in the bubble fight mini game, sometimes you can get Rainbow Dash as the second opponent instead of Brights Brightly. I’m not sure if that was intentional or not but it sort of makes the story confusing. As for the DS game, it only takes about 20-30 mins to play, so it isn’t as exciting. There is a bit of voice acting and DS mic interaction which make it neat, though.
