    Maybe the 8 items will play out sort of like the keys in season 4. They will be gotten across multiple episodes throughout the season and play a big part during the finale. And I do hope Spike gets one.

    I'll admit, I was nervous when I found out Scott Sonneborn helped write the episode seeing as he doesn't have a good track record but I guess MA Larson helped balance him out.

    Commence the shipping huh? There is Pinkie x Party Favor. The names are a given Pinkie x The muffin pony after she gets over the muffins Pinkie x that cupcake pony. That's a given Fluttershy x Party Favor. So many givens. Snowboard pony x Starlight Glimmer. They seem to have some interesting history. Rainbow Dash x that one Pegasus: They look similar.

    May I just say it's kind of cool that they didn't go over the top this time with the villain like they usually do in these 2 parters? And the fact that she wasn't defeated by some random moment but actually got away and may return at some point?

    I wouldn't say I loved the episode. I give that honor to only a select few episodes of the whole series. But I would say I liked the episode. The characterization was pretty spot on, especially for Fluttershy and Pinkie. There were a few issues with this but they were only one off gags. I do like how Starlight Glimmer looks to be a reoccurring villain since she was never actually "defeated" but more so thwarted. It was pretty well paced too and I loved the 4th wall gag at the end so, 8.5/10.

    I'm liking this so far. There may be a characterization issue here and there but they aren't worth noting since those are like one off gags.
