Pine doesn't attract much fungi until is gets really punky and damp. It's great for starting wood fires after it is aged, but not so good for long warm fires because it burns hot and fast.

@CypherHoof From all the fallen trunks I have seen, there really isn't that much mushrooms in pines. lichen does seem to grow pretty well but that's really it. they usually just rot. 

even the lichen usually comes when the tree is still alive.
