Yeah, I've mentioned being Finnish a couple of times here but not that much (the topic hasn't really come up). I've seen a few Finnish bronies here, sadly I don't know any offline.
It's pretty annoying that a lot of people (myself included) don't have a way to watch the show officially. I had to avoid the forums for half a day to avoid spoilers, I can't imagine waiting months (or more than a year actually) for the show to appear on Netflix. Season 7 ended in Finland about a month after the American airings (surprisingly soon), but I don't like the dub.

Oh no - so all your new stuff is dubbed? It's probably like anime - I'd much rather watch them with subs than dubbed.
I don't have cable, so I have to wait for Netflix, which takes about, 6 months I think? Or somehow find it in an app. I may just resort to watching it on Dailymotion...
I'm sorry - I never noticed that you were Finish. Your English is very good! You have great teachers over there!

Finland actually dubs very little compared to a lot of European countries. We get live-action shows subtitled (unlike Germany, Russia, France...) but cartoons are just seen as something for kids (except for the ones explicitly aimed at adults) and dubbed. The worst thing was that the MLP movie was only shown in theaters dubbed so I had to wait for it to come out on DVD.
I also watched the episode on Dailymotion and that's where I started watching the whole series last year.
No problem, it's great to hear that. I have always been interested in languages and spend most of my time online on English websites. Yes, the teachers are very good, but there's also another significant factor often mentioned in Finland: that films are not dubbed (as I already mentioned). I've watched subtitled TV shows and films ever since I learned to read, and I think I was 11 when I started watching cartoons unsubtitled.
