But the thread claims the guy vanished then was found in his hotel room with an underage girl, banned from the conference, then the management overruled staff and brought him back. Presumably its statements like that (and that "more than 100 individuals had made accusations of assault, that the allegations were corroborated and that [there were] mounds of testimony") that are actionable as purported statements of fact, so will be the focus of the lawsuit he has running against them.

Still, trial by media and by twitter can often be misleading; we will have to see how the court case comes out, given that will be a more formal procedure.
