If it is just users then that is not surprising at all. I'm quite sure that twitter users and tumblerites are constantly at each other's throats (not all, but a small portion, but meh).
If there is any specific explanation that you want, it could be that the members of EQD could be former members of mlpforums who have had a fallout with this site.

@WiiGuy2014 there's an event going on, and one of the games has an overabundance of fetch quests. In fact they have fetch quests that give you items to complete other fetch quests, so you need to complete a secons fetch quest to complete the first.
