I like dogs, but I love cats.

Also, what I said isn't totally wrong, people who want an animal that shows them love constantly and obeys them get a dog, but people like me who want animal that loves you and shows it, but doesn't stuff it in your face (and is easier to take care), we go for cats. (among other reasons)

Also, Cats have saved lives too

I don't know details so I can't say if the fault is on you and not in the cats, but I have two cats, older one closing 15 years and though mostly being outside, never left us, and has shown more love to me than any human or dog in my life. 

Different people just like different animals, in fact, I know plenty of people who don't like either, cats or dogs, but taking offence if someone "insults" your favorite animal is just silly in my opinion.

You wanna know a secret? dogs were created for that purpose by humans, cats are not, that's same as me saying that spoon is inferior to sharp knife because it doesn't cut meat as well.

But I digress, I really don't want to argue about cats and dogs, it's pointless, have dogs and cats being friends instead.
