Haven't watched the episode yet, but I'm guessing it's gonna be as lame a Apple Family Reunion... Yeah, I'm not canceling any of my plans for tonight to watch MLP. -

It looks like you have a taste for a certain patch of the classics, not my favorites, but you got extended tastes. Maybe you should also try seeing what makes this old media unique, or what messages lie underneath the big titles, and what educational value do they bring. -
No, I think TMMDW was a pretty good episode because RD gets belittled and the rest of the Mane 6 learns the power of anonymity. And no, Applejack was going to be my favorite pony, but the writers have been doing her injustice lately, especially today.

Well this episode was a total bust. I loath it! I used to like AJ so much, but this episode makes her look so hollow and void of qualities. Who wrote this? "Cindy Morrow"? Who is that? Unless those recurring twin shooting starts had any symbolism or foreshadow something that's going to occur to AJ in a near future plot, I say this episode was a waste!

I'd say the last thing the writers could afford is properly please the bronie fanbase. They've got other problems, like Hasbro taking control of the big picture and degrading the overall quality of the show for profit.

I'm afraid this is true. I came to the same conclusion while watching the first two episodes of season 3. I couldn't explain where these "Crystal ponies" came out of all of a sudden until I discovered how Hasbro was prepping to sale "crystal pony toylines" while Season 3 was in progress. I also noticed the little hint in the background of the conversation between Celestia\Twilight\Luna during episode 1, suggesting Twilight will take a place between sun and moon in the future. Gentelmen, I'm afraid we're in for a big ol' storm of corporate shit. -
