I was obsessed with music as a kid! If there was a show on TV that had anything to do with music, I had to see it – I still have dozens of old tapes with music videos, chart shows and the like.

Somehow I've never really had favorite bands, rather favorite songs. As for recommendations, I've always found them quite difficult to think of, there is so much good stuff!

Strangely, it actually took me a really long time to get into music. Even with all the stuff my dad played when I was younger. 

Oh that’s okay! I’d love to hear some of your favorite songs!  Just recommend any that come to mind.  

Yeah, I was pretty much the opposite.  I think I actually liked most songs back then, regardless of genre (probably even more than today). And whether I understood the lyrics or not didn't matter either (and that's still the case for me, though most of the music I listen to is in English).

This is the first song I remember liking (when I was just three). Being the nostalgic I am, it's still among my favorites (and the wistful lyrics I didn't understand then just make it more so)!
