Could our friend hampony be back?
I looked at the leaderboard (yeah, I still do that when the day is over) and noticed someone who hasn't posted in years got to #4 with a lot of brohoofs from one person!

@Princess Silky I went through the activity feed and noticed you followed a true legend. I miss @hampony, whoever they were.
-
Hello there @Tacodidrathis mysterious pony may continue to remain evasive based on whatever their comfort may be but it is good to let them know they are missed <3
-
@Princess Silky Indeed. Their brohoof sprees were always fun (even if I didn't always get many myself) – one of the many things I miss about 2018 and 2019 on the forums.

@Tacodidra
you were included in the four, don't just asume you'll not be in the targets aswel -
@Lord Valtasar But you've finished in the top four a couple of times too – maybe you'd be one too...

Lately I've been considering an extremely important issue: best pony. Pinkie Pie has been my favorite character since episode 3 and pretty much the reason why I became a brony. The character who always made happy when I was feeling down, the one I said just a while ago would most likely be my best pony forever...
But somehow, lately she hasn't had quite the same appeal to me. I still love her (she'll always be one of my favorites) but I've realized she's essentially my best pony because of how much I liked her earlier... Meanwhile, one character in particular has steadily improved ever since the end of season 1. What to do?

@Outnick One of my status updates a while ago got 54! But as I've said before, it's weird – sometimes I expect a status update to get a lot of comments and it gets just a few, then another one can blow up really randomly. You never know what to expect...
@Califorum I still like them, but I think the additions to the cast are one thing that has kept the show fresh. The Starlight and Trixie episodes are among my favorites from the last couple of seasons.
-
@Califorum It's something the fandom will never agree on – some people would like to see the show go on for several more seasons, others would like to see it canceled... I'm in the former group – it's a shame to see it end so soon after I found it... Especially considering that there are so few shows I enjoy these days.
-
Thanks for the follow! It's awesome to meet other Finnish bronies!
-
It looks like you won another day! Congratulations!
@TheTaZe The horsepeople keep dominating!
I'm just wondering if we should let someone else get into the top three sometimes...

@TheTaZe Yeah, that's a good question. I'd say this is a little tongue-in-cheek from me at least – it's fun but nothing more than that. Though it's easy to get the idea we're obsessed with brohoofs and leaderboards! After winning a day, my interest in brohoofs has decreased.
@Lord Valtasar I understand that. I was a lot more active in the threads when I started here – in part because there were a lot of MLP-related threads to post in when I was watching the show for the first time. The status replies came later, though now I'm starting to get back to the forum side of the site (there can be some fun threads)...
@The Recherche I understand what you mean too. And let's just say that's not completely unfamiliar to me either... I said a lot of times I didn't care if I ever won a day... well, the day I finally had a chance kind of proved me wrong. Now I'm relieved that's over...
-
I would gladly accept @Lord Valtasar as a member of "The Four Horse-people".

Alright, what is going on here?
I just came across an article on bronies published by Diggit Magazine.
https://www.diggitmagazine.com/articles/bronies-fandom-stereotypes
I'd say it's quite an interesting article, though it's more for people outside the community. But one of the example images of the online community really caught my eye..
SpoilerHow in Equestria did that happen?

@CypherHoof Which is about 15 minutes more than I'd have expected! I wonder who'll be the next to get theirs, it could be anyone.
-
@CypherHoof I hope it's someone else then!
I'm glad I don't have to talk about butterflies often (especially in English)... I'd have to be especially careful not to say Fluttershy.
And yes, I was extremely close to writing "fluttershies" in that sentence!
-
The most notifications I've had in weeks (maybe months). And I believe 77 were from you!
Thanks for the brohoofs, my friend!

I gave some in return (I'll probably give even more later)... I noticed I've brohoofed most of your recent posts, so I had to go back to 2020 to find more I hadn't reacted to yet.
I hope you and Rara are having an amazing week!

She's my favorite background pony in the series – it's a shame the later ones are so underrated. If she had been around in the early seasons, there would probably be hundreds of drawings of her. Night View is another one I like, but she seems to have even less art.
Art by Lockhe4rt
Very cute Raras! Rainbow Eevee seems to draw a lot of characters, not just focusing on the main ones. A quick search on Derpibooru found this cute Ocellus, for example.
There's always a lot of art to be found. Some of it isn't even available on Derpibooru – I notice some of VinilyArt's drawings have never been uploaded there for some reason.
-
I'll be honest, I actually didn't know who Night View was until I looked her up just then – now I recognise her! So that's her name. I don't think I know many of the background School of Friendship students besides Strawberry Scoop. Though, I can recognise a few of them by what they look like. For example, I remember seeing this pony quite often. If I recall, she was fortunate enough to have some speaking lines.

Ocellus looks very adorable! So cute!
Derpibooru is my main go-to site for pony art, but I sometimes use DeviantArt or even Google. Although I haven't browsed all the pages yet for Rara art in Derpibooru, I recognise a lot them. I love seeing new Rara art, but I think I've seen most of the ones on Derpibooru so far. I do hope to find ones I haven't seen before elsewhere. Also, I see a lot of Coco art from VinilyArt!
-
Most of those ponies only have unofficial fandom names and people almost never talk about them, so it's not surprising you hadn't heard hers. I don't remember or know many of them myself. The third background pony I really like from the later seasons is Fuchsia Frost. I noticed her at the same time as Strawberry Scoop, but the ice cream pony won.
Art by KindaKismet
I remember her, she has a cute design too! I've heard the name Peppermint Goldylinks before, but I admit I couldn't remember it. By the way, there's a new ice cream pony in the latest G5 short. The Derpibooru tag for her is "vanilla swirl (g5)". Which is a bit strange, since there's no G4 Vanilla Swirl (only some OCs with that name). But in any case, she's already very high on my best G5 background pony list.

Best changeling always does. I hope you find many amazing new ones! And hey, there's another adorable Coco.

Come on everypony, smile, smile, smile!
I just noticed this awesome badge you can give to people! Still in the process of giving them, though I think I'll have a short break so others can give them too!

@That Guy with the Fries No problem, my friend! There are quite a few of them so I think that's understandable. And you're not dumb, you're awesome!

@Lord Valtasar It might be a bit different if she's the princess herself... But on the other hoof, who would dare tell a princess what to wear? So I think you're right!
-
@Kevin Tang Thank you, my friend! I'm glad you appreciate the awesomeness of blue rupees too!
-
Welcome back, my friend! I'm glad to hear you'll be returning soon!
I hope your last exam goes well, and that you have a good time in general!

I don't always pay much attention either, but if I notice someone is missing just a few brohoofs from a new thousand, I'll just have to give them those. And I'm sure you've done the same for me (it would be interesting to know the exact statistics for brohoofs given to or received from a specific user).
I'm sure you'll get many more in the future! I'll certainly be there to help you with that.
-
Congratulations on reaching 75000 brohoofs, my friend!
SpoilerVery vaguely related Pinkie Pie clip.

You're welcome, my friend!
My day has been quite good, thanks!
And yours is awesome!

The classic calling Coco! I know I've said it before, but those memes and such you create are so much fun!
I may be kind of running Team Manehattan at this point, but you came up with much better material for us than I ever could!

Better late than never – a saying I'm sure we've all heard countless times... And it's true. But there is an implied meaning buried in there – maybe doing the thing in question earlier would still have been a better choice... That's enough of the fancy talk.
That sentence is something I have thought about often in relation to my joining the fandom. For a show that began in 2010 and supposedly reached its peak popularity in 2012, for me to discover it in 2017 (after years of knowing about it but not being interested in watching it) was very late. But the joy the show and the especially the fandom have given me has made me glad I finally decided to give it a chance. But I have had a bittersweet feeling about it occasionally – reading about how great the "good old days" of the fandom were, and as a result, regretting missing out on these. This regret only grows stronger as time goes by. Did I join too late? I have had fun, so in that way no, but I'd definitely prefer having had that amazing feeling for a longer time... In spite of the eternal optimism of some people, the present doesn't give me hope it would last much longer, at least on the same scale...

I joined a local fandom back in 2014, we could say that it was the peak here. In 2015 the forum's visiting started to decrease, and in 2016 it has become a wasteland.
I joined this forum this year, and I am happy that there is still a big activity here compared to our local one.
This fandom has given something unforgettable too and I am still hoping that the end of the current generation will not be end of the community too. -
@Rikifive Indeed! I've had a lot of fun here, though some days have been pretty quiet lately...
@That Guy with the Fries The one thing I'm glad about is that I joined this forum pretty soon after I started watching the show (about two months later). Though I wish I had started being active sooner – it took me months to really become more active, to start making friends here.
@Rixton I was never part of the local fandom, there is a Finnish brony forum but it's pretty much dead now.
I hope so too, though at the moment it's hard to be optimistic about it... I'm sure G5 will have its fans too, but I could see it just further shrinking and dividing the fandom...

Congratulations on reaching 1000 brohoofs, my friend!

I hope he's alright...
So many of the people I talked to just a few months ago no longer visit the forums... I've made a lot of friends since then, but I wish those users were also still here. It's really hard for me to imagine just leaving all of a sudden, but I guess people are just different in that aspect.

Happy Hearth's Warming to everypony!
I hope you all have an amazing holiday with your family and friends! And get all the gifts you wished for, of course!

@J.T. Thank you, my friend! I hope your Christmas has been an awesome one!
-
@J.T. Great to hear that! Mine was good too!

A status update by me – that's a rarity these days. As incredible as it is, I noticed it's already my fourth forumversary! When I joined that day, little did I know that I would still be posting here today. While I must admit I haven't been as active as I was at my peak (and I'm not sure if that will happen anytime soon), I'm hoping to spend many more years with this wonderful community.
Thanks to everyone for making these four years so amazing! *hugs all*
-
I'm happy to see you enjoy G5 so much, my friend! I may not agree on some of the points you listed (sadly I haven't got into most of the G5 songs), but it's great to see such positivity and appreciation for the new generation.
Taking G5 as its own thing has made me like it a lot more than I used to – the Mane 6 remain my favorites, but I do like the new gang too. And you already know how much I like Misty – very close to being my favorite villain (even if she's too adorable to be one) taking both generations into account.
I hope you find the rest of G5 just as great, or even better! *hugs*

@Tacodidra 3D Twilight was a bit strange to me too, but it was still awesome seeing her in G5! I seriously hope we get cameos from Celestia and Luna too!
-
I just saw your tier list. Somehow I never knew you like Ocellus so much. Great to see some appreciation for best changeling – she's my Student 6 favorite, and I feel she's quite underrated given how adorable she is!
-
Apparently it's been seven years since these forums were founded. I'd like to congratulate the community on this milestone – after all these years, they're still going strong, which is no mean feat!
While I've personally been here for a relatively short time, the times I've had here are something I'm very grateful for – I never expected it to be anywhere near this amazing. I'd like to thank everyone for this experience – the community is the most wonderful I've ever been in, and it's thanks to all of you! Here's to another seven years of fun... no, make that seventy!
