@Flutterstep Is kinda quiet, loves music, and has a few silly bones that make you laugh. A very loyal and beautiful person.

@Tacodidra Is very supportive and the most lovable person you could ever meet. Taco will always be there to let you know you're not alone.

That said, I guess they are kinda hard to tell apart. :muffins:

Being compared to the wonderful and delicious @Tacodidra is the greatest compliment ever! :eager:

Thanks for the kind words, my friends! :rarity: You're awesome too! :yay: *hugs*

I don't mix up users often, but it happens sometimes when they have the same pony on their avatar or a similar name. Sometimes that might include myself (like when I had that Sunset avatar and there were three or four Sunsets around). :awwthanks: And then there was that one time a lot of users changed their names to pronouns, I kept confusing most of them. :P

  2. I think the ones where they use graphics instead of text are cute and a clever way to make it understandable regardless of language. :squee:

As for changing texts for different language versions, it depends on how well it's done. The Ratatouille example looks good, but I've seen some cases where the translated text was added very clumsily (having to be placed over a giant square to block the original, or the original showing up for half a second before changing to the different language one). But I'd say I prefer seeing the original language, maybe because changing on-screen texts is rarely done here, even in dubs (it sometimes happens in movies but is rare in TV series).

  3. I don't think it should be remade. I doubt that will ever happen to any MLP content (there were also some petitions to remake parts of G4, which obviously failed). The best we can do is hope for the next series to be better and ignore the aspects of the previous series we didn't like (if there were any).

This seems to be an unpopular opinion, but while MYM wasn't always perfect, I'll take it over ANG any day. The series rekindled my interest in G5 after finding the movie underwhelming. Maybe Sunny's portrayal was better in the movie, but otherwise MYM is a lot more to my liking.

  4. No, I definitely don't believe in the thing about timelines changing and such. But I think a lot of people misremembering the same things is still a fascinating phenomenon. They just tend to be fairly unremarkable stuff that's either really easy to confuse (similarly pronounced words or intentional misspellings), practically impossible to remember (singular scenes or even lines in movies) or the kind of things you wouldn't really pay attention to (if you watch a cartoon, you're more likely to look at a cartoon character's face than their tail if they have one).

One thing I can say is that the spelling-related ones aren't ones that have affected me. Like the Looney Tunes example in the first post – I was obsessed with Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner before I could even speak English, so I didn't even connect the word "tunes" in the name to any meaning, I just knew that was the title. And when I started learning English, I would always memorize both the spelling and pronunciation of each word separately.

  5. It mentions Funanimation who have nothing to do with MLP, so it appears to be just a "what if". The same person who made the list appears to have made similar ones for other shows.

As for IMDb, unfortunately even the actual credit listings there are less reliable than before, a lot of obviously fake credits on some shows. :sunny:

  6. It's been years since I saw it... Back then I would watch pretty much anything with the Looney Tunes characters in it, so I did enjoy it, but it was never one of my favorites.

I knew essentially nothing about basketball, so the Looney Tunes antics were the main thing for me. And there were quite a few cartoony moments (even some involving the live-action cast). Probably my favorite thing was how they brought back some forgotten characters for cameos – when was the last time we had seen Sniffles, for example? As for the negatives, not all of the voices were that good – Tweety came nowhere near Mel Blanc's performance. And I wasn't a fan of Lola Bunny – I didn't find her entertaining, though the design of the character wasn't bad by any means. I'd rather have seen an original Looney Tune like Petunia Pig get an opportunity to shine!

As for the sequel, I've never seen it. I might check it out at some point if I get the chance, but I'm not overly interested based on what I've heard.

Lol, the horror of Rainbow Roadtrip.

If it's really "banned" all over europe I'm guessing it's some copyright issue. It's hard to find in general.

It's never been banned anywhere – I've only seen one person claim that. It just wasn't picked up by any TV channel or streaming service in those countries. Its rights appear to have been sold separately from those of season 9, just like the "Friendship Is Forever" clip shows (still unaired in most countries but definitely not banned).

  8. I mostly watch movies and shows digitally now. If I bought one, I would buy a DVD, as I don't have a Blu-ray player (the only Blu-ray I have is the MLP movie, as it came with the DVD). I never felt the upgrade was worth it, as most of my DVDs are old cartoons where the quality wouldn't increase that much anyway, and more of the stuff I wanted was on DVD.

  9. Considering how Faust left FIM due to creative differences with Hasbro, I don't see her working on the franchise again. I can't imagine Hasbro ever letting anyone else have full creative control of an MLP cartoon – the show being based on a toyline will inevitably have some effects on the storytelling (certain characters and settings having to be included, for example).

Vivziepop being involved with MLP is a fascinating idea, but again, I imagine she'd rather work on her own series with more creative freedom (Helluva Boss still being financed by crowdfunding, and A24 letting her realize her vision with Hazbin Hotel). But if that happened somehow, I imagine she and her crew would make a good show. Those two series are hard to compare with MLP due to very different content and target audiences, but the more kid-friendly content she has made ("Bad Luck Jack" and "Holidaze") is also enjoyable and charming in its own right. :rarity:

Mel Blanc, actually. Because of this clip. The man was brilliant.

There's no other answer I could give. :rarity: Not just because he voiced so many of my favorite characters, but the simply amazing job he did with all of them!

Even his last appearances when he was in his early 80s had that special Mel Blanc charm to them. It says a lot that in most of the Looney Tunes revivals made after his death, they need several actors for the roles he could do by himself.

Wow. :pip-err: I like Bluey enough to have watched every single episode of it, but come on. If you're going to be that generous to a surprisingly good toddler's show, why can that generosity not be shared with surprisingly good pony shows?

IMDb has a weighting system for their ratings – not every vote counts the same. They haven't revealed how it works, but it's interesting to think about – I've understood more active voters might have more impact, but if that's true, that could be an incentive for people to spam votes on titles they haven't even seen.

The unweighted average for FIM is 8.4, not much worse than Bluey's 8.8. It's weird that the weighted rating differs so much. I expected FIM to have more voters giving it a 1 due to a more active hatedom, but Bluey actually has a higher percentage of both 1 votes (8.7% vs. 8.5%) and 10 votes (73.0% vs. 57.9%).  :wau: MYM has 29.7% giving it a 10 (clearly worse than either Bluey or FIM), 8.7% giving a 1 (matching Bluey). The unweighted mean is again slightly better than the weighted rating (6.3).

I use cough drops for mild irritation. For more severe or annoying irritation, a honey tea of some sort does well for me!

@Tacodidra What is salty licorice flavor? :pip-err:

I believe it's only popular in the Nordic countries, as well as Germany and the Netherlands (and maybe a couple of other countries). :adorkable: I'd say the "salty" part describes it better – I've heard people who aren't familiar with it often find it disgusting, but the ones who tried it as a kid will always like it. :P In Finland, we've put it almost anywhere you can think of – candy, medicine, alcohol, meat...

Sadly many of the best-tasting cough medicines seem to have been discontinued (Expigen and Kvilla are two brands I've really liked)... :sunny:

  13. I don't use YouTube much these days, pretty much only for a few cartoons and music I can't find elsewhere. The ads don't bother me, as I've blocked them. :P But pretty much every change they've made has made the platform worse. Most of the recent changes feel completely pointless, like the rounded corners on the videos – just why? And the shorts player is absolutely awful. They already had a video player, why make another completely useless one for some videos? :derp:

  14. The first one I can remember seeing was "Bugs Bunny's Christmas Carol", I think it was as a part of the special "Bugs Bunny's Looney Christmas Tales" (though it's also been shown as a standalone short).

I find it strange that they made two Looney Tunes adaptations of the story – the later and longer "Bah, Humduck!" has Daffy as Scrooge, the first one had Yosemite Sam. :muffins:
