  1. Ultimately you trade one for another and get about the same amount of environmental damage if not more.
  2. Also another tidbit of info... Modern agriculture is actually bad for the environment. It is actually causing the desertification of the planet by clearing huge swaths of forests, jungles, etc for farmlands. People love to point to how cows and animal husbandry in general causes a lot of pollution but fail to realize the effects of growing the large amounts of plants required for their vegan sandwiches.
  3. Humans were hunter-gathers, agriculture was an invention that came later on. The original diet of humanity was mostly animal meat and animal products supplemented by whatever was found like fruits and nuts. In fact there are people on Earth who still eat this way as their ancestors did. They did a comparison on them of those who stayed in their primitive diet and those who chose a modern one. The ones who stuck with the primitive diet were much healthier!
  4. The big igloo and lots of changes in the political landscape of America.
  5. Not enough, 500 acres or nothing tbh.
  6. Who do you think I am talking about? Genuine question. Also...
  7. Three days of only brief little naps I wouldn't count as sleep.
  8. Yes it just regular business men, definitely do not look at their ethnicity. Ya know the one disproportionately gets into Ivy league schools. Who disproportionately makes 40% of billionaires. Who owns 90% percent of the media which uses said media to post inflammatory articles about current politics. Don't look.
  9. I visited Family on the west coast, and drove across America to New York.
  10. Shower every day. Though only shampoo your hair weekly if your like me and it dries out your scalp.
  11. Bump, if anybody has critique I'm all ears.
  12. One example that isn't too visceral would have to be when I was riding passenger in a C-130 with some buddies and some local nationals. One of my buddies thought it would be a good idea to give one of the locals a copious amount of tobacco dip. Thinking the guy could handle it, not even thirty minutes later the local starts throwing up everywhere. Now mind you a C-130 isn't a soft ride, so every bump and dip sloshes the vomit around the cargo area. Said buddy and the interpreter both throw up from the disgusting sight, my buddy into his helmet and the terp onto the floor as well. It was not a fun flight.
  13. Alcoholic: Monkey Shoulder whiskey high ball, using sparkling water. It highlights the good flavors of the whiskey without much of harshness and has zero sugar. Very mild and pleasent drink to relax with. Non-alcoholic: Organic Ginger Beer for soda (which I rarely drink soda), Almond Milk for anything dairy related, and normally I just drink Carbonated Water or Water.
  14. I drew it myself and is a reflection of myself to a degree.
  15. My style is simple, solid color (gray or white) t-shirts that fit on the tighter side. A pair of blue jeans (athletic fit) or kahki shorts. Solid white shoes for either or light brown boots with the jeans. Burberry aviators is my sunglasses of choice. If I wanna spice it up a bit, I will wear a short sleeve or long sleeve button up which will be a solid color (white or blue usually) or a tasteful pattern (for the season, like flannel for the winter).
  16. Does ISIS and Al Qaeda count as institutions?
  17. Three days straight if you don't count small cat naps. What is an obstacle in your life that you have defeated and are proud of?
  18. After many years of being a member of the fandom and avid reader I decided to begin my first dive into writing by putting together a short story. I'm fairly thick skinned so any and all criticism including subjective opinions are appreciated. Fimfiction link
  19. Well my career makes it difficult, on top of the fact that each attempt at a real relationship leaves me more jaded than the last. I've come to the point of apathy and now I just wait to see what happens but I dont look for it like I used too.
  20. Sonar pauses at the split, the darkness of the cave not affecting him as much due to his natural nocturnal eyesight. He strains to hear with his long tufted ears as he splays them forward, listening intently. He manages to hear the extremely faint sound of a breeze coming through the tunnel which the Alicorn chose. Sonar seeing it as the best choice followed after her, keeping silent and vigilant.
  21. @Driz Sonar smiled at her then giving her a light pat on the back. "That wasn't so bad was it?" He chuckled a little. "And here I thought I would have to coax it out of you, just remember you're not alone on this journey." He gives her a friendly wink then stretching and groaning a bit he stands up. Sonar goes to don his gear with a few trained movements. "Besides Trinket, the princess probably saw something special in you and she knew you wouldn't let us down. In this case a little pride and confidence in yourself wouldn't do you any harm as you can now see." Then giving his gear few pats to check it is secured, Sonar then looks to the group. @Sir Xarthas VI @Techno Universal @Krashface @Driz @reader8363 "Well, I think we have spent enough time here. Shall we begin our journey?"
  22. @Driz Once Sonar got her attention and saw her begin to trot over. He closed his eyes while leaning back against the tree, his forelegs placed behind his head in a relaxed manner. As he heard her approach, he focused his hearing a bit towards her. His fluffy ears pointing towards her slightly, he was instantly met with the sound of her very fast heartbeat. She must be more nervous than I thought... Sonar then heard her sit down then mutter something then going silent. He took a deep breath and exhaled slowly then speaking gently. "Nervous?"
