Today is a huge day for me.
I opened my Jedi Temple after a year of work. I follow the Jedi path as a religion and philosophy and have been a Knight for 2 of my 4 going on 5 years walking the path. Around a year ago maybe a bit more I stepped away from my duties as a Council member of the home order that I started at. From that point on I worked with several fellow Jedi to build a Temple of our own. Today we opened the doors to our site. I am beyond excited.

I would mildly disagree with that. Yoda actually gave the worst advice ever imo because "Lett go of all you fear to lose* is not exactly good advice especially when referring to a loved ones, while yes you do not want to be overly controled by your emotions you also need passion and drive to survive in this world to a degree. I don't know what I'm talking about anymore I lost track I just worked for 4 more hours than normal.
Hmmm you actually created a Jedi church???

Letting them go has nothing to do with not feeling. Letting go of what you cant cling to is not failing to feel for people. You cant stop time from turining and you cant control everything. So you need to let go of the irrational fear of loss because you can do nothing about it any way. And as the movies actually point out in trying to prevent the unpreventable you often create the situation you were afraid of. And again you say you need passion where did I say I you did not. Did I not say you can feel just dont be controlled?
Yes. my group is a new kind on the block. There are there are many Jedi training groups out there. At least two in the US that I know of are registered 501c religious organisations. That is our goal eventually but its costly so that will come in time. The Jedi community has been around since roughly the very very late 90s or the very start of the 2000s to the best of my knowledge and the Jedi church that Knighted me has been around since 2005 so its now 15 years old. - Show next comments 3 more
