We decided as a team to break from Hasbro, we did get through successfully to pitch the show as planned to them, but we saw where things were heading with them and the industry, and decided to rebuild the show as an original work as we felt they would ruin the show we built as they are Gen 5 and the rest of their company. Equestrian Tales brand has been submitted and approved through our company, and we spent around 4 months rebuilding the show into an original work. The characters are still horses and very much inspired by FiM, we are even getting a good deal of the FiM production crew on after the pilot. We want to build something that pays respect to the work they did, also animation of the past but also making something new and fresh. We have also decided to build this new version of the show as a 2D animated work, and are talking to a few anime studios to bring the pilots to life. I will not give a release date at this time, but it might be out sooner than most might think as a lot of stuff is in line right now. We want to make something that captures the spirit of FiM and its fanbase while also using it to train the next generation of artists while helping as many kids around the world as we can through the work. This is only the beginning.

Big Production Update! We have reached out to a number of anime studios, and are in deep talks with P.A. Works an anime studio in Japan for the animation of the pilot episodes, creators of Shirobako, Nanare Hananare, Skip, and Loafer, Komada: A Shisky Family to name a few. We have also reached out to and are in talks with Glen Keane Productions to handle a special scene in the pilot that should bring back classic 1990's animation. We are also reaching out to a number of former FiM voice talents to fill a few open roles on the main cast, we will announce them once they are signed. We have made the decision to create this show as it was always imagined to be, in full 2D hand-drawn animation. Combining the western and eastern animation styles and techniques to create something we hope you all will love. We have a set start of production timeline, but will not give a release date until we are much closer to the finish line. We will make the long wait worth your time, and think we have built something special every pony can enjoy. Hello everypony! Bullet points, - ViP voice work has been recorded - new talent acquired, - looking for artists -production is off the ground! It has been far too long, and I wanted to give an update on production, we are a few days out of Ciderfest where we just recorded the largest charity auction numbers in ponycon history, a lot of the team was there as staff, vendors, community guest I would first like to thank everyone on this team for giving what you have to the community and to this production, and to all the fans that helped to make that charity the happiest in the world, it will go to help save many animals and what more can we say about the brony community, we help every creature. Now on to the update, over this weekend we met a number of new friends who will be joining the production after the pilot has wrapped up, we have begun assimilating every FiM voice talent, and show staff we can talk to. Now that the writer and actors strike has ended we can also fill our remaining lead characters' voice side as well! Gab and Claire have finished recording, the rest of the VA team is gearing up, we should be into full storyboarding by the new year! If you are interested in meeting the team, and seeing a real sneak peek into production, I hope you join us live or online for Harmonycon! We have put in for a special panel where we will show the first minutes of the series for the first time, the vip talent involved will be present, and we hope to meet you all! Dont be late there might be prizes o-o We are reaching out to Ian Hanlin (Sun Burst) for a lead role, Rebecca Shoichet (Sunset Shimmer / Singing Twilight), Giles Panton (Flash Magnus to play the new captain of the city guard Hot Shot, we are looking into Nicole Oliver for Voice Director/guest VA, Diana Kaarina (aria Blaze EG) who would like to reunite with the original Siren Voice talents in Eqt for 3 new characters, and many more in the works. I also spent the weekend talking to Ac Racebest, Saberspark, Silver Quill and as many of the original brony content creators as I could find for a special scene for the pilot to pay respect to where we began. At this time we are working on the largest scenes of the pilot and coming to the point where we might need some help, so I am opening a few art positions as well as a few voice roles mainly for background and a few sub-main cast if you're interested at all please DM me I would be happy to see if we have a role for you! We are looking for a few parent characters, a few younger ponies, and a lot of just everyday ponies to fill all the city scenes (the team is going to hurt me lol) Thank you all and updates will come more often as production is now underway, we had a lot to rebuild and I hope you like the direction the show is now going! They will be a limited run but if it looks like they sell out through Patreon or so on, we will order a few more so everyone can have a chance at one. We want this show and merch to be accessible to everyone, we are trying to get the price of these down enough to fit a wider budget, and there will be some more limited edition projects coming. Major announcement! After a good while we can finally announce two voice talents that have joined the Equestrian Tales production, none other than Gabrial Brown playing Sire Dusk (King), joining the cast is also Claire Corlett as Lady Dawn (Queen) and filly Princess Celestia! Hi there! I wanted to thank you for both of your comments and sorry for the late reply to them. Firstly yes the channel was marked for kids right when that all went into effect a few years ago, we lost all the love and comments on there that kept us fighting over the years, was a rather hard blow losing direct interaction with the fans we were making this for, but we have not given up, in fact, things are moving along rather well right now, and I hope to be making a big announcement in the months to come. We are not out of the fight, there was just some stuff that was delaying things, and honestly, we wanted to see how the company was going to handle things before we dedicated even more time to this, as some of us have already put in almost 10 years into bringing to life something special for everyone to enjoy. Secondly, the first versions of this might come out in the form of a motion comic, however, things have been changing very fast, we are now focused on getting the pilot of Equestrian Tales up to the point of animation, and we are very close, I'm also seeking some funding options, including possibly getting up a Patreon so we can finish this as it was intended to be. In the end game I will settle for nothing less than to see these characters living and breathing on screen, and seeing what good they can do for kids all around the world. We are not just stopping at animation, I'm in talks with several manufacturers and creators to get a few programs started that we hope will help kids that need it the most right now, one of those being a program called "Everyone Deserves a Friend" where we are having smaller plushies made and will be handing them out to kids so they will always have a friend to be at their side when they need them. The world is getting scary for a lot of kids out there, and we are hoping these little toys will get to the kids that need the support the most. There are a lot of plans on the table that I cannot talk about just yet as some are still in planning, but there is a lot coming, and this story is far from over yet. Thank you so much, I'm passing this a long to my voice and music team and honestly we very much appreciate the real feedback, that's good or bad is nice, but it don't do much to make the production better, and we cannot improve what we don't know needs the work. We are out to make quality content, we always have. I will say that thankfully if we just record the lines some of the issues voice side will disappear, as this was recorded about 2 years ago, the song itself took some time to make correct. Both have greatly improved since then, and that will show for sure in future takes / works. This was originally going to be a full scene, but we were having to cut for screen time, we decided to build this song to free up about 10 mins of screen time, and convey the same information. And you are right on, there has always been a Disney inspiration in this song, and honestly the story itself. I was inspired originally by "On our way" from Brother Bear, you can kind of hear the up beat melody and tempo still there.

Production Update- The animated version of this production has been shelved, however work on the story will continue and postings will have already gone up in regard to this. We just released the full screenplay for the pilot of Equestrian Tales, we still have our entire voice talent pool so we might end up voicing some if not all of the screenplays at some point. Simply put our team has decided to back away from building this as a hasbro production due to the way the industry is changing, we never had any bad dealings with Hasbro or anyone else for that matter, this was an internal choice by the crew. We will put the animation focus on a few of our other productions, but we will not ever forget where we came from, and I want to make sure the story is seen in its original form by those that would understand and get the most out of the story, characters and world we spent the last 10 years or so building. This is for sure not the end, in fact now that we are not focused on a big animated pony series you will see a lot more content coming out a lot faster. We no longer feel like we have cooperate eyes watching us, and that is why we didnt release as much as we wanted to over the years. We learned some lessons of other pony teams in the past, and now we stand as the last of the original creative pony studios left from the beginning, we will try to carry that banner as long as you will have us. Base concept, two strangers set off on an adventure together, song starts with solo's, as the song and their journey moves a head they realize by hearing each other that they have something in common after all, till the end when they unite in the first steps of their friendship." Inspired heavy on the style from FiM, not all songs will be like this, tried to make is as a kind of tribute to the FiM show music staff in our own way. This is part of a few posts being made today in regards to our production Equestrian Tales. We wanted to share with you the final version of the song, and its animatic. We will be posting to another thread the entire pilot screenplay that this belongs to, if you are interested in the story, please read we spent nearly 7 years developing the story and its characters, we hope its worth your time. Pilot Episode of Equestrian Tales- (Click below link for story) Equestrian Tales- Tallest Tale Part 1 Screenplay (Note before viewing) this is a full episode in screen time, so not the lightest of reads, done in a traditional screenplay format as it was intended to be seen in) On an expedition to the castle of the Two Sisters, Twilight and Starlight Glimmer discover an abandoned section of the castle, containing the living quarters of the former residence. Here they make a discovery that would reshape their understanding of the history of Equestria lost to time, left to decay with the happy memories of Celestia's time after Luna's banishment. "A young group of adventures journey across a changing world, to discover the secrets and tales, in a time and land before Equestria.” This story spans the lost years between the founding of Equestria and the coronation for the Princesses. This story will take time to get out, but I hope the first part interests you enough to continue reading installments in the future. Please note this story is not about the main six, Twilight and Starlight are only here for a send off, these events and stories are of a new cast, but some familiar faces and names will return throughout the series including some sisters at a much younger age o-O. Please note this story contains a fully finished song posted in this same posting (see attachments), Singing talents of Caleb Hyles, Wub Cake, we also recently added Gabriel Brown and Claire Corlett to the team and around 17 mins animatics, nearly 70% of this story was build in storyboards, and voiced. I can and will post those here (or else where with a link) for those that would like to see them. Our hopes are that we can continue this story in written form, we still have our main voice talent team as well, so audio version version of this story is still possible, but we have made the decision as a team to rebuild the story into an original series, that is currently in production. Don't take in to much of the comments on Derpy, its become the twitter of the fandom in a way, people here are normally here to help you, not put you down, we are a fandom, and all in this together. There is nothing at all wrong with your OC, and if they don't like it, that's their issue, be yourself, not what others wish you to be and I love McGvyer, I see a bit of him in Izzy honestly, with the crazy creations from random stuff lol I have been in this fandom a long time, some people will try to put you down, its just the way of the world these days it seems, but do not let it get to you, its happened to all of us, just keep being yourself, and doing your best. Be the pony you want to be not what they think you should. Take the real advice, and criticism to better your art but do not let them bully you into being something your not, that is not the lesson Twilight tried to teach us, and some have forgotten that. Hang in there, this is a community of support, don't be afraid to be yourself around us, be the best you, you can be.

First off welcome to the forums! Hope you will enjoy your time here, there is not a better community out there. Very good work, the animation is smooth and fun, your artwork of the Gen 5 characters is great, a new gen brings a whole new design to try to figure out how to draw lol These ponies were made in 3D so hand drawn will always look a bit different, that's just the reality of using different media forms. Keep going you will only get better! These are a wonderful start, and to start with animation takes guts, from one animator to another, respect ^_^.

Firstly sorry for the rant, I'm not normally the kind to get into this kind of thing. I normally don't get involved in pony drama, as its often more stressful then its worth, however with the release of My Little Pony: A New Generation now comes with a new wave of insults, slander and Brony bashing, even to the extent of bringing on a person as a guest to Fox and Friends, to call us all out a sex predictors. We are now front and center once again being called Nazi's, woke, and worse. Personally I'm tired of it, and this normally peaceful pony is going to take a stand. Hoof to heart, its time to do my part. I do not mean this as a call to start hate towards these people, but I think the world needs the message we all learned, keeping Twilight's dream a live in our hearts and using that to fuel some change against the hurt these people are causing, to help educate people about who we really are, maybe opening some small minds, or of those that really just don't get it having only seen us in the news. I know this will end badly when these people start to protest our gatherings and conventions, mark my words it will happen in time. Is it time to start standing up for ourselves, and start to fight back against the hate, and division, using the lessons we have learned from Twilight and her Friends to open some eyes, and stop the hurt.? This show in the end was built for kids, can't these kids have something in this world that's free from all this? They deserve love, dreams, hope and escape from the real world just like any of us, hearing these stories having breakfast with their families are no drought hurting them inside, now rather then let their kid enjoy one of the best moral shows that's come in a long time, helping their kid to understand how to make friends, how to be themselves, and help others, they will now turn that tv off, cutting her off from the magic we all are a part of. Over stories and labels from a few bad apples being put on all of us. Is it time for us to start to fight for the magic of friendship, as Twilight has taught us, or are we only a fandom of words? Their movie review, they completely missed the meaning and story entirely only seeing what they wanted to see, now a lot of parents that watch this network are saying they will stop their child from watching this wonderful film, honestly robbing them of a great lesson, and hope that children need now more then ever. I think Sunny's father said it best "I leave all the brainwashing in the world to you" they seemed not to like it when I used a quote from the movie itself, that they didn't even bother to watch before labeling us all woke, and a bunch of nazi loving lunatics'. Its time this ends. If needed taking Fox in a lawsuit for slandering us to the point where people might end up hurting some of us over their comments, and hatred for our community. I have been in this fandom since very near the beginning, almost 11 years now, was director of a production that helped launch Poniverse, have been running a brony animation production team since then as well, I helped start Everfree Northwest, I have staffed pony cons in multiple every single year since then, seeing how beautiful and giving this fan base really is. Is it right we continue to allow Fox and some of these other news outlets to get away with shaming, and slandering our entire fandom, for the miss guided actions and activities of a few? The damage these monsters are causing might be irreversible if we do not start to act soon, sharing our stories, showing people who we really are, it may not do a great deal publicly, but I bet a good deal of these people will inside realize they were wrong, and maybe look at us in a different light if we are open and honest, weather they choose to say so or not. I have started to actively post to these sites / youtube channels, to try to give the public a real picture of who we really are, how we have spent 11 years helping people, bringing together people from all walks, helping so many of us with social issues work past them together, and taking the lessons learned from this show into the real world. I'm personally not willing to let these small minded fools get away with this any longer, but one voice means nothing against the storm. Maybe if we start to share our stories, get these people to stop shaming us, calling us Nazi's, woke, or worse, get them to realize who we really are, what we have done. Even if we can open just a few minds, maybe the world would be a little better. Rant over lol -
I'm working on getting the channel back in order now, and working on a few behind the scenes videos, just sucks no one will ever be able to say anything lol. Community interaction was and is very important to us, they cut off a good part of that, going to try to add a fan group to our discord some time, if we have any fans left lol. Not sure if you'd be interested, but im looking for one or two more that might be able to help us make sure this is to the quality we are trying to produce. It would involve spoilers tho, but if you had any interest, would love to show you some of the stuff we have not been able to in public lol If not we will of course keep the forums in the loop as this is where it all started, and the best pony community on earth. Thank you from our entire team, for your support over the years, and sorry its taken so long, we have been doing this with no budget to speak of, and a limited team, but we are getting there.

Attention Everypony! The Equestrian Tales team is looking for assistance in the form of content reviewers, and a few other areas. Assistance needed in the following areas of production- - Read screenplays, feedback, review (Pilot Screenplays finished, 6 seasons and a film planned) - Animation / Animatic / Music production content review - Story / Character Development. feedback / review - Assistant youtube content editor (please add any experience in video editing when contacting) Main content needing attention is for behind the scenes videos, clipping and putting together content. -Social Media ponys Quality assurance is a main priority, we are looking to get some outside help with and we are trying to build the strongest pony production we can. You will of course get credit for your work, even if we are only able to release the written version of this story, full credit will be given to any help provided to the production and possible other compensation as we get productions finished. No experience needed, we are simply looking for some outside eyes to make sure the content is what we are trying to deliver to the fan base. Sorry for our absents, covid hit our team and our spirits hard, but we are far from done yet. The characters of Dusk and Dawn (the alicorn parents to Luna and Celestia) are in fact main players in the story of Eqt, its taken some time but things are back in motion. We are not sure if we will be able to animate the thing in full, but we do plan to release the story / screenplays and work related to them. We removed the videos on youtube where hidden by youtube for being for kids, and they pretty much destroyed our channel, removed 10 years of history and interactions with what fans we did have, that was with having zero copyright strikes on the channel, and no copyright issues with hasbro at all. We have never had legal issues with hasbro in our entire 10 years in the fandom. It was nice to go back from time to time and remember why we are still at this lol. With that I will be reuploading every video we made, and some that were never seen, for anyone that wants them. What you saw in Minty's animation was in fact related to an event that will happen in Eqt, however the version planned for this story is far deeper, longer, and we hope will rival if not beat the most emotional, and hard hitting scenes in animation to date. We have put a lot of work into making this event something special, and if nothing else we want to show that completed. I will be posting some updates soon, and I hope today post up a small ad looking for some help with pre reading, we want to make sure these stories are as good as we can make them. Firstly I wanted to make clear to everyone that our studio is not just working on MLP productions, and we have taken steps to make Eqt an original work, but still holding everything we needed and wanted from its original intent. The funding is coming in not for direct projects at this time, but to the studio itself, that is being used to fund these productions. In other words we are seeking and gaining investors in the company, not direct projects so I can pay the team in the end. Hasbro or anyone for that matter would not have any legal say in distribution of studio assets. Our studio has had a relationship with Hasbro over the 9 years we have been around, from doing promotions for their talent for conventions, to working in guest relations for several conventions protecting and maintaining Hasbro brands at these events. To answer the question of copyright, honestly at the moment we have little to worry about, there are a few details that are being worked on right now, but the pilots that are underway have almost nothing of hasbro in them anymore, or can be changed easy if Hasbro does have issues in the future, we are also working on a few legal issues directly, whats slowed that down has been this virus and protests, and attention of these studios was diverted else where. We wanted from the start to make something that worked within the MLP universe, but also stood on its own, encase of these exact issues. Any character you'd see in our show is not the same as in MLP, as we are deep in the past, and most of the characters are different ages and appearances then seen on screen in any show. Our MLP productions right now are there to test assets, but is not reflecting the work gone into the new cast and designing both in story and visual thats gone into this. We have been focused on trying to make a good quality story and production, without trying to make Hasbro aim the legal gun at us, and to this day we have had zero issues with Hasbro, other then them having leaked emails of myself warning them of said hack going to happen lol. We have informed Hasbro of this production, they do know its a thing, and we have been careful to make sure we are upholding their wishes, and open about our intent to them. Nothing will be served by lying or trying to pull a fast one on Hasbro, we built this at the start to help them, not to hurt them. I'm also currently going to school at Full Sail University for Entertainment business that is putting me in direct contact with major elements of not just hasbro, but other companies aswell. I'm trying to use what im learning to make a deal, if we cannot, Eqt will still happen, just with some changes, and not many would effect the pilots at all. There is a lot more going on then I will ever be able to say on a public forum, but things are under control on most fronts at the moment.
