I hope I didn't press the "Shit Storm" button when I made this thread ._.

I want to say "before" but I bet that's too late. I don't want to be misunderstood that I didn't like "Cupcakes". In my opinion it was an incredible written fiction off two characters from the MLP:FiM show. My distaste on Pinkamena comes from the constant publicity and its "cult" that has grown from that fanfic. For example, when I see an image of Pinkamena with a blood/gore background somewhere on a site I ask myself, "Why?". When I read discussions of best pony and Pinkamena pops up, I ask, "Why?". Here's a history that I understand about who Pinkamena is: She lived a strict lifestyle as a child away from the company of friends and neighbors. She worked as a child (on a ROCK farm no less), which in olde culture is generally common upbringing into adulthood. Her full name, Pinkamena Diane Pie (which would likely had come from in part by a relative or ancestor). One way or another her time on the farm came to an end, and her lifestyle did a 180 degree turn-around. Without stretching the back story of her new name, Pinkie eventually adopted the name she uses now, for whatever reason that may have been. "Party of One" shown us what is often depicted as an episode of Pinkie's past lifestyle, though maybe extreme in her case, the familiar feeling of no friends downed her spirits. This change in emotion does not convey purpose to title her differently and demonetize her well-being. She's still Pinkie Pie. Pinkamena Diane Pie may or may not still exist, but it represents a pandora's box of her locked up memories. This box is not to be opened, only remembered that it existed. I done forgot what my point was.... I hope I was able to paint a picture though. For all who Pinkie Pie is and who she will be, Pinkie will always be Pinkie. P.S. Fictional characters makes typing fun.

Okay＾＾ Real simple. Discuss what you personally thought to believe has been the "Worse possible thing!" to come from the show My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. This can be direct from or interpreted/fanon and memes. To give an example I'll begin with mine: I hate "Pinkemena Diane Pie". This would be the picture the fandom has painted from Pinkie during her "Party of One" episode. Which I assume is greatly influenced by the "Fanfic which shan't be named". Unforgivably, this distaste in Pinkamena applies to even her on-screen appearance during the "Party of One" episode, despite Pinkie being tied as best pony next to Fluttershy. I enjoyed the animator's creativity at the time when I marathon'd the first season before I was into the brony culture, but I simply can't watch the whole episode because this distasteful image created in fanon. A point of context though is I still love Pinkie and nothing in the fandom has or can influence my opinions of the show in whole. Minor things like the above are common in fandoms and add diversity where canon is often strict to a railroad. Share your opinions below! EDIT: Silly me misspelled "Worse". Sorry~

That's the one where the animation was like bubblegum right? I didn't bother researching that one, lol. Most of the information I gathered at the time came from wikipedia that brought me to mostly first generation material. I understand Spike was in GEN 3, but I was satisfied with what I found out from the first GEN.

This episode was canon after canon of subtle shipping! Applejack and Twlight; Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy; Rarity and Spike; Lyra and Bon Bon (adding just cause) Best episode, but I predict the Christmas episode could top it if done well. Mainly because it seems to focus more on Pinkie! Fluttershy and Pinkie are equally best pony; and best Ship!

Also, Twilight is rapidly growing on me for some reason! Her character has developed much differently than from season one in my eyes.

I have to say this is my favorite episode of season 2. Other episodes had epic scenes, like Find a Pet; Twilight's white and nerdy; Derpy pulling the plug; (maybe Rarity's wet mane?). But today's EP was perfect from start to finish. It'll be hard to top it in my book of favorites.
