I didn't realize my laptop had bitlocker enabled on Windows so when I changed the boot loader so I could dual boot into Mint it locked the system. The only way to get the key is to go into my Microsoft account which I had to change the phone number to which then unlocks in exactly a month. I guess I have a month to familiarize myself with Linux Mint.

@Artemis yeah, I had no idea at first but Microsoft pretty much kicked my ass and told me "no"

@DarkShadowPonY Linux systems is complicated and look hard to learn at the first time. True thing is that you have get used to the terminal stuff, but after a little practice you can do many things. Installing programs is not a big deal, except those that are not packed to .deb format or not in the repositories, but there are many guides how to handle those situations too. I don't want to say that linux is easy to use, because windows is the winner, but it is not that bad how it looks like at the first time. Biggest problem is some programs cannot be executed in emulators, and really complex programs will not run well even inside a virtual machine.
Fun fact: I render animations faster under linux compared to windows.
