  1. I personally think there is a huge misconception with the debate pit. Personally, a debate section of the forum can work if we keep personal insults and petty arguments out of the mix. Seeing another persons point of view helps you grow as a well-rounded person.

      I think @Sunset Rose did a great job with setting down some rules for the debate pit. If people can follow the rules than having a flame war is very unlikely to happen.

      " It takes one bad apple to spoil the crop." Debates can be fun but alot of people take their opinion far too far..a little bit of dissonance makes a friendly difference in opinion a Hatfields and McCoys like feud.

      I agree on that completely. Sadly, on most of the occasions I see people talking about politics or other controversial matters (I'm not referring to the ones here but elsewhere online), I think they just get worse and worse. Sometimes a person may have a point, but the way they present that argument (the insults and the word choices in general) instantly removes all the credibility they might have had. :please:
