A Snuggle Set in Stone

You're woken up by what feels like fur brushing against your arm. You don't recall any ponies being in the room with you. Regardless, you look over to the side of your bed. On the side you turn to is a small, young gray pony. You instantl recognize the deep amethyst-colored eyes and the mane style. It's only Marble, but it seems like she wants to climb up onto the bed. Do you gently lift her onto the bedsheets? You ponder your decision.
 

Upon lifting her onto the bed, she lays down on the small hill your legs have made, seeming comfortable and happy with your choice. She nuzzles the side to properly knead it to her liking, before laying her head down. Soon after, you hear sweet,  gentle breathing.
 

Later in the night, you feel movement around your bed. You pull yourself from your lucid dream to see what the commotion is about. You look over to check on Marble, only to find she has comfortable snuggled herself underneath the sheets, and up against your side. You assume she just wanted company, since she seems to like and trust you. She has one hoof tucked in,the other across your chest, similar to a cat, and her head against your waist. You gently reach down to stroke her mane before lying back down, comforted by the knowledge that she is indeed snuggled close to you, and you doze back to sleep for the night.
 

Epilogue -
