I really do like how things worked out in the end and treasure planet. Not the fact that the Benbow Inn was repaired, but merely the fact that Jim and silver began forming a friendship after silver simply accepted that his lifelong dream was being completely blown to bits, and he decided that Jim’s life was more valuable than the loot of 1000 worlds. I really do and did and always will love that moment, because it shows that even greedy pirates like silver are capable of reforming when they realize the truth – sometimes some things are more valuable and precious than others. He even gave his little shape shifting best friend to Jim to look after. There’s also the fact that the ending song, “always know where you are, “I feel like it really does tie into Jim and silver considering how the final shot of the movie is of a typical cloud formation in the shape of silver’s face shining down on Jim as if watching over him from a far.
