    So, I was looking at Treasure Chest maps for Kingdom Hearts III, and DEAR GOD, some of the people who make these maps are HORRIBLE at it.

      Yes, in Kingdom Hearts HD Dream Drop Distance. that time they didn't include the important geography to make chest locations easier to find.
