It's here....it's here right now. The ultimate challenge...the Ultimate Prize. The Ultima(te) test of strength.

Six intensely difficult bosses. One worthy prize....Seven go in, one comes out.

  2. About to start reading 'The Phantom of the Opera'. Let's hope it's as promising as Autumn Blaze, a musical-theatre-loving Kirin, makes it sound.

      @Loyal Defender

She was likely referring to the more well-known play, which may not necessarily be exactly as it is in the book.

Plus Sudoku is not boring. It improved my deductive reasoning skills through filling in squares with numbers. That is the one little thing I hate about her song

I've known Sudoku since its inclusion in Brain Age for the original DS in 2006. That game helped keep my mind sharp.

I think it is better as the stage musical (or a movie) rather than the book; the Andrew Lloyd Webber songs in particular are awesome.

I must say I find Sudoku pretty predictable though; I don't really have to think very hard to complete one. I find the 4x4 rubik cube pretty hard, although oddly, the 3x3 and 5x5 I find much easier.

@Will Guide She didn't really say sudoku was boring, though – just that it gets so when done too much! Which I can agree on – I used to solve them a lot at one point but got sick of it eventually!

@Loyal Defender I hope it's an enjoyable reading experience! :yay:

'I think the worst day was the day the science project was due. Waking up that morning…that was fun, huh? Your head would pop off that pillow, “Oh, no! That’s due today.” I had nine months to work on it; I did nothing.' - Brian Reagan, 'Stupid in School'

  4. Okay, that is IT.

I’ve had quite enough of my parents not giving me a chance or being fair to me. They have done and said countless things to piss me off, but I’ve just about had it. Making a trip to North Carolina without even bothering to tell me unless they decide to out of nowhere? Check. BS conversations they act like they have better points on? Check. Acting like I should have a brilliant memory when I’m pretty sure I’ve made it clear my memory sucks? Check. The typical fact they don’t ever listen to me, refuse to understand me or misunderstand what I say, being hypocritical by threatening to punish me if I didn’t pay attention to vital conversations? DEFINITE check.

I had a pretty bad start to my morning when my parents decided to berate me for leaving the lamp in my room on overnight, which ‘could’ve caused the house to burn down’. First of all, I very likely wound up doing it in my sleep, which I had ZERO control over, because it was in the same instinct of turning off my alarm! Second of all, my lamp’s bulb is a special bulb that doesn’t heat up or even overheat!

FORGET trying to talk to my parents, they’ll just think I have a bad attitude towards them, which I do, for VERY good reasons!

    I CAN’T TAKE IT ANYMORE! I wish…..

I WISH I DIDN’T HAVE PARENTS AT ALL!

No parents to judge me, or tell me what to do

No parents to think it's wrong if I talk to any of you

No parents to boss me around or think or act stupid

I'd enjoy they're out of the house from which they've been booted

"That's it, this is the end!

Don't ever talk to me again!"

(And no, I don't recall much that WOULD make me miss them!)

Mom: "I need a pen, do you have one?"

      Me: "I don't think so.."

Mom: "Go get my pen from my nightstand!"

Me (goes to my room to chest first to find two different pens, both Disney-designed pens, and takes them back downstairs): "Here, I actually DO have pens. I got two of them."

Mom (Looks at the pens like I'm handing her a pen covered in a gross substance): "Those don't look like they'll write very well. Go get my pen from my nightstand."

      1. You didn't even TRY writing with them! How do you know if they'll write well or not?
      2. Um, you're WELCOME... :/

      3. Just another reason why I dislike my parents.

If they saw this, they'd probably be like, 'Why is it their business to know our discussions?' or something.

And I'd be like, 'I don't know if you're blind, but maybe you're not seeing that they're discussions that I find to be irritating to me.'

  5. Tomorrow, it begins.

  6. I just realized your profile picture and signature is likely from Luna's Future...that song gives me chills. Your nickname should be the 'Cold Nightmare'.

  7. works my ass off in Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep, and gets an Ultima Weapon Shotlock

IT DOESN'T EVEN HIT THE FINAL BOSS.

    1. Will Guide

      Will Guide

I guess it's purposely done that way to prevent cheating on the Final Boss

    2. Loyal Defender

      Loyal Defender

Edit - Nevermind, it hits. And I don't think it'd be cheating at this point since it's now an intermediate level difficulty fight for me, since I'm, like, between levels 60-70.

Turns out you need ridiculous aim to hit Xehanort.

  8. I came up with this pun last night, forgot it till just now -
"I can Sia rainbow, in your tears as they fall on down."

  9. I don't know why, but having recently discussed Disney's 'A Christmas Carol' with Ebenezer Scrooge really makes hearing 'Luna's Future' again even more chilling, mostly because not only were Snowfall and Ebenezer without friends in their future, (though MLP didn't show someone 'dying' in their grave), and the Future Spirits were big and menacing, but the way Luna rises in tone/pitch as she finishes the words 'Cold Nightmare', followed by the shriek/whinny of a Windigo is so intimidating, and a little terrifying.

Not only that, but the way she's so serious and straight up telling Snowfall through well-worded song that it's her fault the future became what it was just adds to it.

Yeah, no thanks, I'd rather be with the Present Spirit..

This is it....the big day! Today's the day I finish Terra's side of Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep. More than 100 hours went into his side, but the final stretch is here!

    I got this...I will. Not. FAIL! :mlp_yeehaa:

    1. Tacodidra

      Tacodidra

100 hours... Games are pretty long these days! :P Not that I've ever kept track of how long I've played any game – all I know is it was a lot in some cases! But the longer it takes, the better it will feel to finally finish it! :yay:

    2. Loyal Defender

But you know it just gets better
When you see the end in sight
Take it on, start going strong
      You can get it right!

      You can get it right!

  11. Finally, all that's left in Birth by Sleep is the Mirage Arena! Tomorrow's the big day, so I've got to Rise Up!

The process of 100% story completing has been more convoluted than the Legend of Zelda timeline, but it'll all be worth it in the long run!

    1. Tacodidra

      Tacodidra

Good luck, my friend! :kindness: I'm glad you've enjoyed the game! :yay:

    2. Loyal Defender

      Loyal Defender

Oh, it's not over, actually. I've still got two more characters to play as, both with their own stories. I've just somehow wound up putting 100 hours into one character...maybe it's because I haven't been well-coordinated.

      But I'm not giving up!

    3. Tacodidra

      Tacodidra

      That's the spirit! B)

  12. Rainbow Dash - Tried to stop Winter.

The Grinch - Tried to stop Christmas.

Snowfall Frost (Starlight) - Completely removes Hearth's Warming in the future she winds up seeing.

Fillies and Gentlecolts, best pony wins by a landslide once again.

Also, this just in - Christmas and winter will arrive regardless. In Snowfall's case, no one was in the future to celebrate it.

If you take her cutie mark and flip it upside down, it looks like a kite.

      Tacodidra

I never thought of it that way... but it makes sense! :wau: It's quite difficult to say what her special talent is in the end – other than magic, she's simply amazing at it, to the extent of beating an alicorn! :)

    4. Loyal Defender

      Loyal Defender

I've been hearing rumors that she might BECOME an Alicorn in Season 9. Let's....let's hope not, cuz A, I dunno what she'd do to become one, and B, I'd freak the flip out. Even moreso if she decides to be a mentor.....to Cozy Glow, aka TELB. (I'll PM what TELB is)

  13. For whatEVER reason, my recording program, Happauge Capture, is stuck having zoomed in a lot on the screen. So what kind of troubles could that bring, you may ask?

A close up of Terra's butt, for one. This is why I gotta get this glitch fixed...

I don't think I can. I tried messing with the PS3's quality, uninstalled and reinstalled Hauppage, but the problem's still there. At  least the videos turn out fine.

Someone joked, 'You're gonna have to get that cheeked out'.

Aqua's in the lead? You might say I'm in some hot water.

  15.  I'm listening to all the MLP Songs again, and this time, while listening to 'Art of The Dress', I'm beginning to consider maybe it should be called 'Art of Subtle Foreshadowing', because two lyrics just caught my attention -

    "For Fluttershy, something breezy"

"Rainbow won't look like a tank"

Hmm....very interesting choice of words. :mlp_icwudt:

  16. So, apparently, practically ALL of the Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep guides I needed for my 100% game completion are all 404'd links now! HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO FIND ALL THE TREASURES AND STICKERS NOW?!

Ever since I began trying to 100% complete Birth by Sleep, it's been one rage and/or mishap after another! It's almost like the game's TRYING to sabotage my chances of 100% completion!

Edit - Okay, so the Sticker Guides still exist, but just in case, I'm saving their pictures.

Well, I DID find some maps that don't mark the chest locations, but I could use those to look everywhere.

  18. Okay, so can I just point out a little controversial fact in Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep? Olympus Coliseum has some trophies sitting on the shelves that are trophies from events held there.

    So I must ask.....

    WHY. ARE. THOSE. THERE?

Not ONLY is Birth by Sleep Chronologically first in the timeline, and that those events don't even HAPPEN in KH BBS, but it's ALSO shown that Hercules in this game isn't the strong, powerful Hercules as shown in KH I! And that fact is relevant because it's when he's the strong Hercules the Trophy Cups happen!

Those trophies aren't earned until you beat the events in KH I that revolve around them!

    1. Pip Plup II

      Pip Plup II

      I don’t understand.

    2. Will Guide

      Will Guide

Well, of course Hercules wouldn't be the strong hero yet. This is 10 years in THE PAST before Hercules become a hero.  Those trophies are likely a call-forward to the first game since BBS chronologically happens years BEFORE KH1.

      Simple explanation, really.

    3. Loyal Defender

      Loyal Defender

Oh....actually, when you consider how KH 1 was released first, it...does kinda make sense, actually..

Also makes me feel kinda bad how he's easily outmatched by spamming Mega Flare over and over in his little Urn smashing challenge..

Yeah! But most of 'em would melt before you're even halfway through, but eh, better than nothing!

  19. (Playing Fruitball)

What the hay kind of game lets you get multiple points for scoring a GRAPE in your opponent's goal? That's not fair, grapes are in a bunch! That's like saying you get 58 points for scoring a strawberry because of how many seeds are in it!

  20. Ahh, nothing says 'unfair' like Ice Cream Beat throwing several separate rhythms at you at once when you can only aim at one at a time. ^-^

    (sarcasm)

  21. I swear, no matter how many times I listen to EQG's 'Five to Nine' short, I keep hearing the lyrics go like this -

"Most people dread the grit and grime
But apple grease works every time!"

Turns out AJ's saying ELBOW grease, but I can't unhear it!

    1. Tacodidra

      Tacodidra

Considering how many things they make out of apples, I don't think apple grease is that much of a stretch! :mlp_icwudt:

    2. Loyal Defender

      Loyal Defender

Right? It'd make just as much sense! Especially Sunset's pun in 'Driving Miss Shimmer', how to change a tire, she'd need to use 'an Apple jack!' (which is what AJ used to fix her tire)

  22. I DID IT! I'M FREE FROM THESE STUPID COMMAND BOARD GAMES! I FINISHED THE LAST ONE! ^-^

    Heh.....
