I have just ordered a Xiaomi Mi Band 3 from China.
Even though it's not in English officially yet it's supposed to work (and I don't want to wait until September for a smartwatch, I have already had to go a year without a smartwatch)!

That compares excellently to my old, now broken smartwatch, one of those ones that clutter groupon, gearbest, ebay, amazon and every shopping site known to man (and probably alien)!
@Sondash Studios Those knock-off apple watches also clutter the same websites as my previous smartwatch (and are a bit better than my old smartwatch)

Probably the same; I liked this one because it could host a simm (and a µSD card) so could be used as a low-value device to attend events and stuff with (and that it is literally strapped to my wrist doesn't hurt, either)
I have a PAYG from giffgaff in it, so I can be reachable when I am out and don't have my full sized phone with me.

@CypherHoof My old one could host a simcard and did when my 4(s) died (mostly) and I was between 3 phones until I got my S5.
I used to be with giffgaff but I found too many issues with them and moved back to EE
