5. Another good point. Though I will say, I like celestia's method more than the school's method.

Celestia sent twilight knowing that she would make friends ON HER OWN. Nothing was forced. The school seems like it will force friendships a little more, rather than let them develop themselves, like how they came about on their own in the mane six's case.

Granted, they WERE all linked by the first sonic rainboom. But I don't know if Celestia knew about that or not.

Also in my opinion, the new students would be a great opportunity to see how the non-pony races would interact and work off each other.

I've personally never cared too much about the non-pony races, though I do like the changelings, and a few of the dragons. I've never been too interested in the yaks or anything like that, but that's really just because they haven't gotten a lot of screen time. I'm expecting them to do a good job of fleshing out the other races.
