Exactly. There's more to illinois than Chicago. In my opinion, Chicago should be a separate state.

But between Chicago and southern Illinois there is a massive expanse known as iron country. Not because of iron mineral deposits, but because it looks like someone took a clothes iron to it. I always say, on a clear day, I could stand on a coffee can and see Chicago, even though it's 5 hours away by car.

  People love to think that I live in Miami or Orlando or whatnot when I say that I live in Florida. There's a TON of farmland where I live. Heck, my town is so small that it doesn't even have its own police department.
