Well, it's been a fun run lads, but I'm starting to think my time on these forums and the fandom is coming to an end. I just feel there's too great a disconnect between me and the fandom, and I've felt that way for a long time now. My interest as a whole in the show and fandom has just been dwindling, and I just think I don't belong here. This place just isn't for me.
Truthfully, a major reason for this is the dark side of the fandom, you know, that side of the fandom. There are some things in this fandom, and people in this fandom, who genuinely make me feel sick and ashamed to be a part of this community. Seriously, there are some right sick bastards out there, as I'm pretty sure you're all aware.
I'm not gonna deny that there's been many a good time here on the forums, and I've met some genuinely great people here who I respect, although there are a very few select people here who I have virtually no respect for, but I digress, the positives of my experience on the forums itself definitely outweigh the negative.
While I don't see myself returning, if any of you wish to contact me, you can do so anytime through discord @ Colossus #9899.
Well, that's about it. It's been a fun ride, but all things unfortunately must come to an end. I hope you all enjoy the remaining time the show and the fandom have left, and to those of you who have stuck with me for the longest time, thank you. I wish you all the best.

I confess that I have not been a member of the community for a terribly long time... but even so, I am pleasured to have made your acquaintance in my time here.

Oh, I understand what you mean, as I kind of feel like this myself. Sorry to hear that.
Though I kind of have to disagree with that major reason you have mentioned.
While I completely agree and can relate to, that there are things and people, that may make us ashamed to be a part of it, it's still kind of unfair to judge the whole fandom because of these bad apples you don't have to interact with. 
Honestly, I often feel ashamed to be a part of the whole humanity - we all know, that insanely weird or even disastrous things happen (e.g. politics *cough* *cough*), so I believe I don't have to mention anything here. Nevertheless, we have to live with it and be who we want to be, enjoy the good part of it and perhaps make it all slightly better in one way or another. In every single fandom, in every single place there are *fails*, so you'll never find a place for yourself when going this way. The question is, is it really that bad, that it forces you to make that decision? Something that bad, that it makes it absolutely worth to leave everything and everyone here behind to finally feel free? 
Well, unless some people here on the forums gave you a really bad time, then that's another story.
~But in that case something could be done too, it's not like people can randomly wreck you here without any consequences, you know. 
Though you also mentioned losing interest in MLP, so that's a reasonable reason itself...
Well, whatever would be the reason, of course it's entirely up to you and whatever you'll choose, I'll respect your decision and wish you all the best.
Remember, that you can always return and we'll be looking forward to that.
