  1. Nice, ya boi's got himself a week off uni. Call me crazy, but after having my first mid-term exam for this year and somehow getting an A on it kinda makes me feel like I've earned it in a way. :dash:

Now I can get to work on designing my next tattoo, it's gonna be a big one. :mlp_smug:

Great job, my friend! :D Enjoy your week off! :pinkie:

  2. So... is it safe to talk about the finale yet? 'Cause god damn! That was some finale! Dare I say it was the perfect end to the show as a whole.

Little confession here, I kinda cheated and watched the final 3 episodes a few days ago, was bored outta my mind and decided to watch 'em before I got spoiled. :lie:

    SPOILERS

    Spoiler

Was honestly the perfect blend of climactic and emotional in my opinion, but still retained it's charm even to the end. That whole final sequence in the last episode was the most moving thing I've ever seen in the show. Seeing the mane 6 and Spike so old compared to how we've always known them, that final song commemorating the entirety of the show... and that damn final shot of the book closing... it was all a swift kick to the feels. :(

I'm glad that the show went out on a high note and got the ending it deserved. :yay:

While the show might be finished, we're all still here, the community as a whole is still here, and we've got ourselves a damn good show under our belts. :mlp_smug:

Anyway, how's the day been treating you, lads? What did you guys think of the finale? :ooh:

It ended the way I wanted it to end, with a great song and a final shot of the group as the story book closed.

@Prometheus I see. My great grandfather was Dutch apparently, though I barely known the language.

I'm doing fine, thanks! :fluttershy: I watched it a month ago myself (right after the English version first came out) – at that point, I was already about to watch the dubs after seeing some spoilers. :please: Certainly a worthy conclusion – I'll need to rewatch it soon!

  3. Alright, here are my picks. Fantasy - Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring Comedy - Hot Fuzz Romance - Titanic Action - Die Hard with a Vengeance Adventure - Raiders of the Lost Ark Sci-fi - Blade Runner Animated - Finding Nemo Horror - The Shining Musical - South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut (Yes, really) Western - The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford Suspense - The Grey Mystery - Seven Crime - Goodfellas
  4. El Camino Always have been a huge fan of Breaking Bad, and it was awesome to see some of the characters returning as well as seeing what happened to Jesse after the series finale. I was sceptical about this movie at first, since I think the series ended pretty much perfectly, albeit with some loose threads. Probably my biggest complaint is that I thought the ending was pretty anticlimactic, but I'm still glad it tied up all loose ends that the TV show ended on. Overall, really liked this movie, would definitely suggest watching the TV show first before this movie as you'll definitely be lost without it. 8/10
  5. Oh man, you wouldn't believe how often I get told that. People have been telling me I look like I'm in my twenties since I was like 16.
  6. Nah I haven't, not in person anyway. From what I've heard it seems like it's not doing too well. TPAM can draw.
  7. Another Gen Z man here, born on the millennium.
  8. Found my first student ID from when I was 17, check out that babyface of mine.
  9. Looks like having a bad case of man flu is brilliant for catching up on shows. Managed to catch up on the American releases... and damn, it's scary to think there's only a few episodes left before it's all over.

On the other hand, I've been watching a metric ton of South Park recently too, the newer episodes aren't so hot but I swear some of their best earlier episodes are some of the funniest comedy ever aired on TV. :D

Anyway, I've got man flu to deal with, hope you all have a good day my dudes. :mlp_smug:

I'm sorry to hear about your flu, my friend! :sunny: I still have a cold too, which isn't fun, as you can guess. :please:

I hope you've enjoyed the new MLP episodes! As for South Park, it's been years since I've watched more than one episode here and there – I think season 12 is the last one I've seen in full. :adorkable: I'm probably in a minority, but I like the first few seasons the most. :P

      Thanks, you too! :fluttershy:

A flu??? Oh that is so sad to hear. Remember to eat and drink a lot of water! Even if it is difficult. Flus are dangerous.

Last time I had one was back in 2013, and 3 weeks with BECK 1997 episodes and cheese cake, and lots of water, and i made it through!

  10. Despite all the rough patches we've had, I'm glad I decided to rejoin this community.

It's weird, I feel like I've changed a lot since the day I first rejoined these forums back in January of 2018. I was a 17 year old kid in his first year of higher education, wasn't in the best shape mentally, made plenty of mistakes, was pretty much aimless in every meaning of the word. Maybe it reflected in how I acted here, maybe not... Alright, yeah it definitely did. I'm sure some of my veteran followers can tell you as much. :scoots:

Looking back, it's staggering just how much has changed since then. I may not act like it on here, but I feel like a completely different person than I was back then. I feel like I'm finally starting to take control. It's a good feeling.

So, I just want to thank you guys for putting up with all of my shit for the past 635 days that I've chosen to bless these forums with. :proud: Nah seriously, how any of you have tolerated me for so long is astounding.

    Happy Forumversary lads. :mlp_smug:

I'm glad you rejoined too, my friend! :rarity: Great to hear things have got better for you! :fluttershy:

Here's to many more years for the community, and you being part of it, of course! :pinkie:

  11. Sorry, had to google it, not too familiar with Mexican holidays, I'm over 5,000 miles away from the place. You doing anything for Halloween this year?
  12. Feeling pretty happy about how things are going in life. Grades are getting better, I'm a lot more financially stable, got a very active social life, and I'm starting to get back into an exercise routine. Feeling accomplished, and feeling good.
  13. I'm on Facebook, Snapchat & Instagram (though the latter I never use). I do also have a YouTube account, a Discord account & a Steam account but I don't think they really count as social media platforms.
  14. "I'm so sorry I almost shot you. I probably wouldn't have." "Hey, shh, no. I totally get it. I'm sorry I let you get attacked by a werewolf and then ended the world."
  15. Jailed for accidentally burning down too many remote Welsh villages.
  16. Decently sized room with light grey walls and one papered wall, got a double bed that's a couple of feet away from my computer desk, just above my bed is a canvas I painted a few years ago, got a decent 32" TV adjacent to my PC and in the corner of the room I keep my barbell with a few spare plates for it. All in all not a bad room, wish the view out the window was a little better but what can you do.
  17. The Revenant (2015) First time I'd watched it since I went to see it when it was released. This movie is a masterpiece in terms of its technical filmmaking, with its camera work, use of natural lighting and overall brilliant visuals and sound design. Tom Hardy should've won the Best Supporting Actor for this movie... Leo shouldn't have won his oscar for this movie. He still does a good job, but his performance definitely wasn't oscar-worthy, whereas Tom Hardy just becomes his character. The overall slow pace of the movie does make it drag on a bit too much, especially with some scenes that really don't add anything to the overall story or characterisation of the movie. Still definitely worth checking out if you haven't already, I'd say it's an overall 8/10.
  18. When I get paid, it's a very happy bank account. When I look at my bank statement at the end of the month however... not so much. All things considered, it's been alright overall. Still haven't gone into an overdraft... yet, and have somehow managed to keep myself out of debt. Here's hoping it stays that way.
