Does anyone have problems making new friends?
Divine plywood replied to zerox's topic in General Discussion
Making real life friends seems harder and harder when you get older. When growing up, you were kinda forced to meet new kids and make new contacts. Kindergarten, elementary school, high school, college... basically our first ~18 years society rub everyone's faces together and occasionally chemistry would work and friendship emerge. If not, then maybe with the next kid. As an adult however... Some found friends from work, but then again, others may have so solitary jobs that it's impossible to meet and befriend coworkers. Or, the working atmosphere is so lousy, that the last thing you want to do is hang out with those d*cks on your past time. Been there, done that And as said, some don't have a job anyways. I'd suggest that lonely persons could try to find new people to their lives via hobbies. Sports is good way to bond with others. It doesn't even have to be a team sport, could be something as simple as jogging. There are groups in facebook for example, where people look company to work out with. I have made one good friend that way from the local camping and hiking group. If that's not for your liking, how'bout book clubs, arts and craft meetings etc? Or starting some voluntary work? These are sorta like going back to school, it doesn't matter if you make a bad first impression or feel ashamed of something, there's always next week and next try. And if you're too shy to interact and talk with others at first, you can just observe and listen. Eventually everyone open up more and you'll have, if not friends, at least friendly people around you. -
Feeling ill and lousy. Having those annoying headaches, like someone had poked a fish hook under your eyebrow....

It's a strange new world we're living on... This AI stuff is really scary and yet really beautiful at the same time. Why does this fill me with so much emotion? I'm not even that huge of a Star Wars fan

Career vice everything is pretty much the same, been walking the same circle and repeating the same loop. But, now when I think about I'm now in much healthier headspace than back then. Soooo, yay?

What games are you currently looking forward to?
Divine plywood replied to Omega Centauri's topic in Media Discussion
Haven't played for years. Haven't had time neither interest. For some time I followed the news and media but haven't bothered since. I have no clue of upcoming, new triple A big hitters and which old franchises will have sequels. I remember getting excited after Elder Scrolls 6's teaser was first announced, but it seems the actual game will take some sweet time to actually arrive to the market That still haven't been released either? Guess I have something to look for in the near future then- 159 replies

What was the last food you ate?
Divine plywood replied to Member Berry's topic in General Discussion
Homemade bread, olives and Parma ham! Now that was some proper delish grub. Now I can return to eating bland and tasteless garbage and collect strength to try to be fancy again next weekend -
What is something you really want to do, but can't stick to?
Divine plywood replied to Wubsie's topic in General Discussion
Ice skating. I tend to blame bad weather or poor conditions, but in most cases I only have my own lazy self to blame... -
Finally finished a book that took me embarrassingly long to read Also talked to a dear friend first time in ages

At the moment I'm obsessed with Duolingo. Tried the app out after friend recommended it, and oh boy, my cave man brains were hooked at the very second. Educational yes, but also poison for sleeping pattern...

As for everyday drinks, plain old Earl Grey tea. Never been a coffee drinker or fan of fizzy stuff. For alcoholic beverages? Eh, maybe Pilsner Urguel...? You, sir, are either a total madman or a pure genius I have to give it that a try sometime

This is made by AI? This looks lightyears ahead of those ones people shared on social media some time earlier. Impressive! Sure, it might be a different program used but still, could have fooled me. You peaked my interest, have you some other AI generated pics that might not be as well done and close to the description? Something that shows they were created by a machine. What is the name of that AI/app/program being used?

What Music Did You HATE Growing Up?
Divine plywood replied to Reecejackox's topic in Media Discussion
When growing up, I didn't care for majority of the new pop songs they played on the radio. Emo, pop rock, r&b, edm... pretty much everything and anything that would be popular enough to climb up the charts. (Not perhaps issue of quality but quantity and repetition though...) The one music style I remember myself consistently disliking was hiphop. Younger me wasn't impressed, wasn't a fan But, as often with these things, sooner or later nostalgia kicks in and now decade later I find myself kinda liking those songs/genres -
Pony drawing
Divine plywood replied to Starset Twinkle's topic in Photo Finish's Magics (Visual Art)
Remarkable advancement already between the two drawings. Keep up the good work! Something about the stick-pony and it's expression really made my day
