  1. Yes. I made game plugins, 3D animations and draw in my free time. How many times have Rainbow Dash flapped her wings from Season 1 to 8?
  2. I want to buy this 12 inch Rainbow Dash plushie, but its weird for my parents to discover a giant pony plushie in my room. The only other plushie I own is a carrot, so I don't think I can just make it "blend in". if for some reason it's discovered, what should I say
  3. Love your collection! Love that Rainbow Dash square plushie (looks really cute), the Rainbow mug and the Rainbow mask. Don't see those often. Let me guess, Rainbow Dash best pony?
  4. First off, I just want to say the Twilight banner looks amazing. Anyways I met this dude online today, and since we both had "rainbow dash" as our username, we knew each other were at least fans of the show. We had a rather interesting - and slightly creepy - conversation. He seemed so, dark and mysterious and overly serious about the show. He went on about this talk about dedicating your entire life to MLP, creating order and templars of bronies to fight and serve ponies. "Once you join us, there is no turning back, we will be the true warriors". Ok, I love the show and the ponies and everything they stand for. In fact, the show changed me a great deal and my attitude towards other people. But seriously, I feel like this dude is either trolling or taking MLP waaaaaaay too far. What do you think? Have you ever encountered such a person?
  5. Set Rainbow Dash as my desktop background, now I can't stop staring at it xD

      Kyoshi Frost Wolf

I love having a decoration, digital or physical, that makes you want to look at it more. :P

  6. What are some pony artworks or objects that only a MLP fan would recognize as MLP related? I think it'll be fun to set a pony related picture as my desktop image, facebook cover, etc without non-bronies ever suspecting a thing lol! It can be an actual character or simply a nice design referring to MLP. I feel like those things would also immediately draw attention from actual bronies thus letting only other bronies know I like MLP!

    Pony Merch

Wow that is a really nice plush! Also love that DJ Pon-3 poster in the background xD I only see her tail and legs but I can tell it's a really good one. I would decorate my room like yours but I can't have anyone knowing I'm a brony xD

    Pony Merch

Do you have any pony merch? What is your favorite? I kinda want to get a Rainbow Dash one, but I just want it to be fairly small, have accurate shape and good hair and be under $10. After all if I get caught having a My Little Pony merch around I would be like Rainbow Dash in Ponyville Confidential XD
  9. I wonder if it will be 3D. Fans have been using Source Film Maker for years, and some of them have actually made pretty stunning 3D animations. I'm sure professional Studios using actual 3D animation software would make much better and immersive animations. It'll be wonderful to see the Ponies come to life.
  10. This sounds like an episode idea, maybe something like this: You know the cure is within reach, and that although that mineral is very hard to find it is possible. There is hope of recovery, and as we learned from Somnambula, we should never give up hope. Rainbow Dash is threatening to not be your friend, but you know her judgement is clouded from all the morphine and pain. You know how important she is, and that her living through is the most important thing. A true friend will want the best for their friends regardless of what happens to them. You travel to help get the mineral, and you bring it back just in time as Rainbow Dash is falling into a coma. You slowly give her the mineral, begging for a response. You wait the most painful five minutes of your life before she starts to stir. She sits up and is at first confused, but Pinkie Pie hugs her so tight she dies. Lol jk, she lives and you hug each other and everything is happy yay the end. *Note: I assume this mineral is magical and will result in a full recovery. If it means RD will be crippled then it will absolutely crush her. I would pull the plug if it meant that. *Also, replace "you" with Twilight Sparkle for the episode plot.
  11. At first it was just online minigames back in 2008. They were fun to a 7 year old me. I gradually got interested in more realistic games. Back then, a 3D game to me was a dream. Just being able to navigate around in a virtual world was something I drooled over. I guess why you can see I did everything to get my hands on Minecraft since I loved creating stuff. I managed to get a free cracked client to play on since I knew there was no way my mom would buy me games. I played Minecraft after school everyday for hours, it was so much fun. It was mostly building in creative, but I slowly moved into the multiplayer realms. I played gamemodes such as factions, and of course my favorite part of it is building bases with friends. Not just any old base to store my loot - I didn't care much about hording stuff - but ones that are both visually appealing and have cool functions such as automatic redstone sorters. Not that I need it, just it's a really cool mechanism. In 2015, I started developing my own server. I learned so much about Java and computers in the process, and although as of now I'm still not done with the development, I have high hopes for the outcome. Oh, and I play a lot of CS:GO. I have $300 worth of skins from the profit I made from farming profitable trade ups.
  12. People have always gotten one thing wrong about the ponies, and that is how they compare to real ponies. When you measure a horse, the height is measured from the ground to the wither. However, since the ponies in MLP have necks that basically go straight up, people tend to measure the whole pony height. That is completely logical, however you can't use that height to compare to real horses. The dimensions of the ponies in MLP is fairly consistent with real baby horses (no adult pony is 2 feet tall in real life), the ponies in MLP simply have a larger head and an upwards neck, so they are basically 70 cm ponies. Now to the idea of flying ponies in real life. In real life, a baby horse that is 70 cm tall is probably around 50 kg, and since MLP ponies are skinny yet have huge heads, their weight would be around 50 kg as well. Pegasi ponies might have lighter bones but they also have wings. The wing loading of the Golden Eagle is around 7 kg/m², so assuming a Pegasus in real life flies in a similar fashion to an Eagle, it's wing area must be around 7.1 m². However, it is possible for a bird to fly with a wing loading up to 20 kg/m², meaning the Pegasus can manage to take off slowly and glide with a wing area of just 2.5 m². The ponies seem to have a body length of around 60 cm and a body height of 30 cm, meaning the wings must fold within that dimension. When expanded like a normal bird, the wings would have a total surface area of no more than 1.5 m² total (assuming a folded wing is a quarter of it's total area. Completely insufficient for flight. In order to achieve just the minimum wing surface area, the wings would fold up to be 32 cm x 96 cm. This would cause the wings to extend far out of the body, probably protruding by 30 cm. That is half the length of the body. Possible? Yes. Maybe stretch the pony a little, make the wing folding a bit more compact, then add a bit more wing surface area to make a pony that can fly. So realistically, it is actually possible for a Pegasus to physically work. As for in the show, I suspect Pegasi don't actually rely on their wings entirely to fly. They have a magical power that allows flight. We seen that Tirek was able to steal flight from ponies, making them incapable of flight despite having functional wings. For Rainbow Dash to accelerate that quickly and have super agility, her wings would have to be much larger and impossibly strong. The only explanation is magic. Gravity on this planet can't be any lower than Earth since there is an atmosphere, and a lower gravity would cause the atmosphere to be too thin for life. The ponies do breathe, meaning respiration is a thing and they need oxygen.
  13. My first Fanart of MLP. I drew Rainbow Dash because she is best pony
  14. I'm buying the Steelseries Arctis 5 headphones, but I can't decide whether I should get the black or white version. I have black hair, and the white one stands out more but IDK if it will stand out too much?
  15. There aren't many MLP episodes I dislike, but I just absolutely hated this one. The plot may be the weakest thing I ever seen. It relies heavily on typical kid cartoon strategies to move the plot along, such as Spike sneezing directly into the statue (twice) and Spike thinking that it is more important to make sure Twilight stays asleep than to protect Twilight's name. It's just so stupid it hurts. Everything else actually had reason and logic and not added just for a weak childish joke. Despite being a cartoon for 6 year olds, none of the episodes actually lowered it to a 6 year old level except this episode.
  16. I'm disappointed in a lot of you, hasn't My Little Pony taught about the futility of revenge? It is detrimental and often do not solve anything. Human punishments work as a balance for your expected gain. It works as: if you do a certain action, then an even worst bad thing (punishment) will also happen to you, therefore deterring you from the crime. However, this works only for intentional acts of crime. Any accident event can't be prevented by such a deterrence. Therefore, what I do to Derpie must somehow heal the situation, such as making her pay to rebuild my house. Now, I only say this because it is Equestria, since ponies generally do the right thing and are cooperative and don't try to take advantage of everything. Most humans are just apathetic, selfish assholes.
  17. I actually remember specifically how I became a brony. So I was just scrolling through my daily dose of memes when I came across this: In my mind, I thought a bunch of depressed fat 30 year old dudes with no lives loved to watch the show, so I got curious to what this whole meme is about, so I decided to check out the show. I was expecting some typical kid stuff like Dora the Explorer or Barbie movies, but boy was I wrong. Sure, I love watching cartoons like this one But there was something different about MLP. The characters aren't overly cute or weird like a lot of cartoons (the ponies actually looked like coherent ponies and not balloons), their personalities are fairly mature, and everything looked very pleasing to the eye. It also wasn't this action adventure thing where you got a straight forward cliche plot, nor was it an all happy bubbly superhero girls show. There was a great deal of character development and intimacy with the main characters. Also, some of the emotional conflicts, interactions and expressions in this show is unmatched. I don't think any single show has captured the positive sides of friendship and citizenship as good as this show. It has found a nice balance between cheerful and positive but also realistic.
  18. I don't shave yet but I probably will have to soon xD
  19. Have anyone ever played a MLP song during a non pony event? I could imagine someone hacking into the sound system and playing it, but I'm sure no one have balls large enough to actually play it non-anonymously because then your balls would just create a black hole and absorb the entire universe.
  20. What percent of the teen population are bronies? How about the 18-21 age group? Cuz it's kinda funny to imagine that out of the 160 people in my grade, I may not be the only one into MLP.
  21. Even though it may seem childish on the surface, some of its messages are very meaningful. It inspires and encourages empathy, cooperation, understanding and forgiveness among people rather than vengeance or selfishness. Even though the element of harmony is used sometimes, most problems are solved through communication rather than physical force. When we grow up, we may become smarter, but one thing I don't see a lot of people getting better at - and sometimes getting even worst at - is friendship. I admire a lot of the qualities seen in these ponies. It really changed me quite a bit. I became more empathetic and caring about others, and tried to resolve problems rather than just shove them away. I'm more confident and willing to share my emotions - I realized that acting all tough isn't really the best way. Also, I realized that one thing about MLP is that unlike other kid shows is that the main characters are neither kids nor superheroes. The main characters are fully grown mares (who still have a younger side to them).
  22. Why is the music note on DJ Pon-3's cutie mark backwards? This is her cutie mark: and this is a regular music note:
  23. What is it like? What is the minimum amount of money I have to spend? What if I go there with just some friends and not a date? Is there a professional DJ or is it possible for me to do it? I don't think I'd ever find a date unless a miracle happens so IDK what to do, I don't want to miss out but I also don't want to be alone and stuff.
  24. You probably wondered how a bright pink pony came from a family of dull, gray ponies. I think this is due to a recessive gene in the family. A recessive gene is expressed only when both alleles (pair of corresponding genes) are recessive. When a recessive gene is paired with a dominant gene, only the dominant gene is expressed. Let's call the pink pony gene a (lower case for recessive), and the gray pony gene A (upper case for dominant) Therefore, Pinkie must have the genotype aa to have a pink phenotype. That means both parents have the genotype Aa since that is the only way the parents can both produce an offspring with aa and also not express the a gene themselves. Pinkie's sisters would have either Aa or AA, but it is impossible to know which one. It is also possible that the coat color is sex linked, meaning the gene for coat color exists in the sex specific chromosome of each pony. The mother contains two X chromosomes while the father contains an X and a Y. The mother passes one of her two X chromosomes, while the father pass on their Y to sons and X to daughters. This means that if a certain recessive gene exists on one of the X chromosome on the mother and the X chromosome of the father, there is a 50% chance it is passed onto an offspring. The possible genotypes of the offspring would be Aa with 50% chance and aa with 50% chance. Since the sample size is too small, it is impractical to run a Chi Square goodness of fit test on these two scenarios, and would produce a statistically insignificant result, so based on the percentages, it is safe to say that both are likely to be the reason Pinkie is pink.
