I've changed my position on this – I'm going to headcanon them as 18. This still fits with what we see of them, other people have headcanoned the same, and their creator even liked the idea:

If we prefer Twilight as a unicorn, can we still imagine her as one? I kind of feel like an alicorn would be "out of my league," but I really feel like Twilight would be the best for me because we have so much in common.

I'm talking about ships with Flash (and Timber).

If not, why are people posting on the topic about them again?

I've told you about myself, and I know there's no way of knowing for sure, but which of these girls would like me back? What might happen then in regards to other stallions she might like?

Since for whatever reason I don't think they'd be as attractive at 21 as at 16–17, I imagine myself as still being a teenager when interacting with them. Their not being real means I can do that.

So I guess nothing new with regards to Timber x Twilight and Flash x Sunset, then?

Since they're extroverts and I'm an introvert, and while smart they're not as deeply into science as I am?

Oh well. I'm fine as long as Sci-Twi doesn't have an official canon boyfriend (I know she's going out with Timber, but they aren't an official couple). (I'm the same person who asked if Sunset and Starlight are introverts and science-lovers.)

I guess I'll go with this kind, smart, adorkable, and heart-stoppingly beautiful young lady: I still don't know what to do if they officialize her relationship with Timber, but I guess I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

I guess a relationship between someone like me and Sunset or Starlight wouldn't really work, then... oh well... I guess Twilight and Timber aren't technically a couple yet...
