  bought a 960GB SSD (sata form factor) a few weeks ago, and it was £240 - so not getting noticably cheaper
  I have found the buffalo branded usb externals reliable - provided you don't move them while they are spinning - and reasonably priced.

  @CypherHoof, when I was building my computer online back in October saw an SSD the same size for more than a thousand US dollars, so that is actually a very good price as around $260 US (bearing in mind that I think the price you just listed is about 300 some dollars in US money if I remember correctly), so at this rate I may be getting a full 1tb SSD around this time next year!
