  1. I likely would have been more willing to forgive this episode, had it strictly stuck to one of its central ideas. Rarity/Twilight episodes are quite a rarity (pun intended) in of themselves, so seeing them interact did help this episode a good bit. It is just bogged down by Flim and Flam's gimmick having long run its course, and the fact that Starswirl is deceptively unimportant. His only real role is endorsing Flim and Flam, telling off Twilight, then apologizing to her after the fact. Flim and Flam weren't doing anything THAT wrong anyhow. They were indeed plagiarizing Twilight's work, but that isn't really brought up. They get more ire for using their funds to renovate their casino. Which... is entirely their business? The framing in general is rather poor. There is the scene where they extort one of their students for one of the Friendship lessons, but it feels a bit more random than anything because of this. With hindsight, the fact that Starswirl never got an episode of his own, and the fact that he got trashed by Tirek in Ending of the End just makes Friendship University sting even more. It really is astonishing that Spike's crush on Rarity is what her final focus episode is centered around. I do appreciate that they resolved that part of the story more explicitly, but Spike and Rarity already seemed like more sincere friends as the series progressed anyhow. In any case, Rarity's entrepreneurship is what made her very interesting starting from Season Four, so the fact that this does not come into play at all is disappointing. This is to say nothing of the memefaces either, which were utterly loathsome here as well.
  2. So sorry to have kept you all in suspense... but this fated day has finally arrived. :D

Now that I have seen all that My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic has to offer, I decided to write a review for each and every season, the movies, and the franchise as a whole!

Be prepared for this 18,000 word epic of mine. I leave no stone unturned! :devious:

Note that this will probably look a bit better on desktop than mobile.

      :yay:

I'll make sure to post my thoughts once I've read it all – it's very interesting to hear your thoughts on the series. :eager:

Also, great new avatar, my friend – though that's to be expected considering how fabulous they've all been. :darling:

Thank you very much... though my superb taste has always been obvious. :proud: Sincerely though, I decided to go with a winter aesthetic this time. I tend to get more endeared to it with time, especially as snow only gets more scarce in my area.

Glad to hear it, regardless! Do take your time though. Writing this was quite the undertaking, much less reading all of it. :please:

      You're welcome!

It was definitely worth it! And I can only give the same advice for my own comment, which I'll post soon after a bit of editing. I didn't mean to ramble on and on like that. :adorkable:

  3. This day has been long in the making. Anyone familiar with me would know of my chronic My Little Pony Procrastinator status. I made several promises to truly sit down and finish this series over the years, but alas, the seasons passed many times over, and I had never lived up to my word. This Forum, my last bit of schooling, any miscellaneous hobbies I had, and now of course my job have all distracted me from doing so. No longer. Two-hundred twenty-one episodes. Five movies. Ten specials. I have now seen them all. There may have been some shorts or other miscellaneous installments that I have missed, but I believe I have now seen all of the truly important content. I see this as cause for celebration! What better than a game? And so, I introduce you to my version of... Every Episode of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Reviewed in Ten Words or Less! But that's not all! In addition to this little mini-game, there will also be... 𝓜𝓸𝓿𝓲𝓮𝓼 𝓪𝓷𝓭 𝓢𝓹𝓮𝓬𝓲𝓪𝓵𝓼 𝓕𝓸𝓻 𝓔𝓪𝓬𝓱 𝓪𝓷𝓭 𝓔𝓿𝓮𝓻𝔂 𝓞𝓷𝓮 𝓐 𝓒𝓵𝓪𝓼𝓼𝓲𝓬 𝓗𝓪𝓲𝓴𝓾 ... Perhaps a bit more contrived than the first admittedly, but it gives them a bit more variation, so why not? And yes, I know that Joshscorcher did this kind of thing first. Hush. The ground rules are simple; each episode will be given a 10 word or less summary, along with a numerical rating from 1 to 5. A review of the whole season will be included at the end of each season's section. The movies and specials will be given full reviews after their haikus, alongside a 1 to 5 rating as well. Whole seasons will not be given scores however, as they are far too broad to apply a numerical rating well. It truly is obvious, but to nip this in the bud: do not take these ratings as objective. They are strictly a rating of my personal experience, and how well the episode met my expectations. And so the rules are set, as this fated day has finally arrived! I intend to make this milestone of mine an event for you all, so prepare yourselves! The die has been cast! My Little Pony, Friendship is Magic... HAVE AT THEE!!! ☽ SEASON ONE ☽ ♥ SEASON TWO ♥ ✲ SEASON THREE ✲ EQUESTRIA GIRLS ✷ SEASON FOUR ✷︎︎ EQUESTRIA GIRLS: RAINBOW ROCKS ✦ SEASON FIVE ✦ EQUESTRIA GIRLS: FRIENDSHIP GAMES ♚ SEASON SIX ♚ EQUESTRIA GIRLS: LEGEND OF EVERFREE ★ SEASON SEVEN ★ EQUESTRIA GIRLS: MAGICAL MOVIE NIGHT MY LITTLE PONY: THE MOVIE ♜ SEASON EIGHT ♜ EQUESTRIA GIRLS: FORGOTTEN FRIENDSHIP EQUESTRIA GIRLS: ROLLERCOASTER OF FRIENDSHIP EQUESTRIA GIRLS: SPRING BREAKDOWN EQUESTRIA GIRLS: SUNSET'S BACKSTAGE PASS EQUESTRIA GIRLS: HOLIDAY UNWRAPPED MY LITTLE PONY: BEST GIFT EVER MY LITTLE PONY: RAINBOW ROADTRIP ︎ ⦿ SEASON NINE ⦿ FINAL SAY *** 𝓕𝓘𝓝 *** So there you have it! Getting through it all was quite the adventure, and a long overdue one. I am truly glad that I bit the bullet, sat on my rear, and actually finished the series proper. It's funny though; way back in March 2018, I was never truly intent on making this Forum much of a 'thing' for me, so to speak. One thing led to another though, and using this site become a greater priority to me than actually experiencing and discussing the content of its namesake. It's quite peculiar looking back on it, but what can I say; I was a foolhardy teenager at the time. I was awfully late to the party needless to say, but even so, I can say with no hesitation that the Brony community has done things that few others can. The folks I have met here, plus plenty of others that have come and gone, are truly some of the most astounding people out there. I call myself peerless as a half-jest, but truly, I think plenty of people in the Brony fandom qualify as well. Never change, MLPF! I have even been seeing a few familiar faces return in the past little while, and they will surely bring us to the next level! If there is anything here you disagree with or would like to point out, do feel free to! I will likely be posting a lot more about Friendship is Magic for the next little while. Generation Five is a different story; I have frankly not been enchanted by it, and while it may even be good now, it might be too much of a good thing for the time being. Thank you all for enduring my endless tardiness for the past five years, nonetheless. Now I can officially call myself an MLP fan with no asterisks. At last, I have jettisoned this baggage for good! 5. It is flooring how extortionately priced printer ink can be. Factoring in how much a cartridge holds, printer ink can be sold for thousands of dollars per gallon. All just to print some rubbish documents.
  6. It's difficult to force yourself to take them, but I did indeed notice that my skin was quite glowing for the time when I was taking cold showers. The nice part is that it does not need to be frigid per se; it just needs to not be particularly hot. Tepid water will not hurt your skin; it is specifically hot water that can inflame or dehydrate your skin and hair.
  7. I was back in my prime, at least on this website. It was fun, but it was more of a phase than my regular attitude. In general, I am quiet and content to just let things happen. I am not one to pass up the opportunity for a good discussion though, when the opportunity arises.
  8. I suppose watching Barbie movies forever would be my choice. I cannot say that I am fond of any that exist thus far, but it is a solid trade-off for being able to eat on my own. At least the video games and board games are unaffected?
  9. I truly have no clue why this was in my recommendations, but this is indeed quite fascinating. It is amazing what our ancient ancestors had to contend with.
  10. Valentine's Day? Ah, right! You are referring to the day before "Lots of Fancy Chocolates on Clearance Sales Day," correct?
  11. You should not confuse your hesitation for impurity, I would say. I am not familiar with the world that presented itself to you, but things are often not quite as they appear. Can it truly be called a sign of 'sinfulness' to not take everything offered at its face value? These vultures you speak of are everywhere, and do everything they can to make you miserable. They are misery scavengers, and many exist just to slight you. I of course have only been acquainted with you, but my gut tells me that there is no malice radiating out of your silky hide. Perhaps a bit of resentment, but that is only human, is it not? Love most. Trust few. You truly do have a lot of kindness to give; give it in abundance for those you trust, and reserve none for the vultures.
  12. Not quite cry, but the video game ending that hit me the hardest was when I reached the Golden Ending in Persona 5 Royal. It was truly a long game, but every single second was worth it, doubly so with how wonderfully the Golden Ending wraps things up. P5R as a whole is the perfect example of a game that I wish I could play for the first time again.
  13. Bad? Perhaps a blunt word, but if we are to use the common moral standards... well, I am no law-breaker, delinquent, or anything of the sort. I even stay away from drugs and alcohol. Most would call these the bare minimum though. In regards to my attitude, social standing, and overall moral compass... perhaps so. I am a bit too content to just watch things from a distance. Perhaps even feel vindicated when misfortune comes for those I strongly dislike. It's no excuse, but 2020 really was ruinous for any optimism or hope that I had. It's no way to be though. Our society in general could use a lot more compassion.
  14. I used to think Envy. It was apropos for that phase of my life, I believe. Sloth is the main source of my issues these days, as is the case for many people, I believe. Add in some additional Wrath with how spiteful I can be at my worst moments. Quite the two-for-one special I have, hm?
  15. A particularly venomous dose of apathy and distrust, I suppose. The modern environment in general is incredibly hostile to relationship building, it seems. The competitiveness and overall resentment are palpable. I do wonder what a loving partner would be like at times; I tend to look around me in that case, and if the relationships that surround me are anything to go by, it is just not worth the headaches.
  16. It's... especially poor. No sense in being evasive about it. Sugar of course is my obvious weakness, but I have gotten into a wretched caffeine habit as well. I am actively working on the latter at least; I am no longer consuming caffeine every single day any longer, which is a step. My sugar intake is something I badly need to rectify however; I am routinely exceeding my daily intake several times over, sometimes on things that I do not even enjoy. I can even get malaise from eating too much sugar at once, yet I do it anyhow. I am hoping to incorporate at least small beneficial things into my diet nonetheless; it is just difficult to know where to start, and rather frustrating when the tiny yet necessary steps don't provide immediate results. Oh, how I wish eating a single banana and a small handful of almonds would immediately solve my issues!
  17. Even though I enjoy Bloodborne quite a lot, I am frankly not fond of most of its bosses. The Old Hunters carries its boss roster hard. The base game has only a few bosses that I outright enjoy, but most are underwhelming. None are more obnoxious than Micolash though. Not only do you have to tediously chase him about, he only has two attacks when you actually do catch him... one of which has a habit of one-hit killing me. So I get to chase him all over the place and listen to his dialogue on repeat over and over until I corner him again, only to get one-shotted again. Repeat this until my prayers are answered, and his atrocity of a boss fight comes to an end.

Uh, sorry to disappoint, but my birthdays aren't any different from normal days. :mlp_icwudt: I was debating if I should go buy myself a cake and maybe do something, but that day came before I realized and I was like "whatever". :P At least it's weekend, so I got to enjoy the day regardless.  :BrightMacContent:

  21. Oh hush, strawberry mammal lactation enjoyer. Next thing you are going to assert is that the heel of a loaf of bread ISN'T the best part. Simply absurd!
  22. Malenia, Blade of Miquella has caused me untold pain and very much told profanity. Especially with my thrusting sword/enchantments build. I adore Elden Ring, but I am still unsure if I would consider Malenia a truly good boss fight or not.
  23. I enjoyed watching it quite a bit back when Boomerang was a thing. It's one of the few Hanna-Barbera cartoons still worth watching, I would say. The newer shows, I am much less familiar with, however. I did see some of the movies when I was younger; Samurai Sword being the stand-out, but none were all that memorable.
