I suspect that Scoots would rather have her "adoptive" big sis (who after all IS 220% more awesome  ) anyhow - but hopefully we will have an episode with her parents in the future.

I know we have the mane 6 covered, I believe GlimGlam and Spike get a parental episode this season too, so that really only leaves Scoots from the non-background cast.

Yup. See "Sleepless in Ponyville" about 19 minutes in; Dashie agrees to be Scoots' mentor "like her big sister" (although obviously they aren't actually related). This is also an awesome Luna episode
