      @Mirage Hasbro went the safe route with the movie instead of letting the show writers make something epic. They just wanted something marketable for kids with lots of new toys, throwing in a bunch celebrity voices for easy marketing.

      I think that they should have explored the history of the Alicorns and Celestia and Luna's past.
