    Even though it'd be cool if mermaid seals were an actual MLP FiM species, I think I wouldn't like it. There would be too many crappy Mermaid Seal OCs.

      @STO~ , I'm assuming it's due to the fact that audiences are giving a negative impression of the species as a whole, since the most we've experienced with both those species have been nothing but absolutely doucheyness.
