I wanted to see my puppet in full color, so I made this animation of Paradox saying hello and waving to you.
I chose him as the character because I could reuse the mane from that last vector drawing with ponies and guns. So...you know, it wouldnt take me really long. Although in reality, it's just going to take a similar amount of time to do it with another character.
I finished it in several hours(probably around 4 hours), which includes setting up the puppet, asset creation(glasses, tail, scarf, limbs, etc), and the main animation itself Yep, all that for this 24 FPS 72 frames animation

Some kirin ears which are still halfway done. I made them look more similar to the regular pony ears I made, which means they might lose the thing that makes them stand out from the regular ears. What do you think about them?
Well, actually I have a preference for images, or geometry.I'd like to learn math and science in a visual way. Calculating and algebra often bother me a lot.The beauty of math and science is the beauty of logic, symmetry and unify. Numbers are just an object to study.(Plus, technically Statistics as a subject is an independent one,it does have a link with math,or to be more exact, employs it as a tool, but doesn't belong to it.)
I personally find most science and maths stuff interesting, and I agree that learning by visuals is even more exciting than just plain black and white texts.
Like in physics for example, I'm really fond of drawing graphs and making illustrations, after that comes the actual problem solving part involving the graph and illustrations I made, which is mostly just as fun. But you know....I'm just a high school student, so my knowledge in that field is definitely pretty basic
In maths, especially when I learned about 3D shapes, you know....those things where you need to find the angle or lenght between this and that. Pretty fun.....when I actually understand what I'm doing.
I'm planning to dig more into statistics once I'm done with all of the final year things.
So I got an art assigment last year in October. I was prompted to make a horror movie poster.
I cant use photoshop to create those normie looking posters, so I brainstormed. What would be a good way to implement ponies but with horror elements....hmmm....the answer was there, we got an episode which is basically a parody of an actual horror movie. Thus, this poster was born.
2. SCP themed vector art (Project 16)
Spoiler
So I had the urge to draw ponies with firearms again and I was really into SCP games and SCP in general, so I made this 4 character vector.
I'd I'm pretty happy about the improvements from my previous attempts
This includes, better body armor vector and better details in guns
I mean just look at this
and compare it to this
How can you not say it's an improvement?
Anyways, here is the actual art
Idk, but I always get carried away into making speech bubbles for characters in a vector.
The kirin is a part of the GOC and the rest are MTF unit Epsilon 11 designated "Nine Tailed Pones"
They even have their own modified logo!
I didnt stop right there
Since I dont like the fact that theyre all wearing helmets which makes their manes invisible.
I decided to make some helmet-less art of them
2 for my friends
And 1 as a raffle prize(held on Twitter)
3 main poses and a total of 5 guns made
This project sure did involve a lot of work
Last but not least, we come to
3. Animation puppets and tests
Spoiler
Overall, I'm doing pretty well. I made quite a lot of progress, even though its still just...you know...the head....
Animation takes a lot of time, especially those damn muzzle expressions. I got bored doing those midway, which is why I started project 16, as a refreshment.
But in the end, its all worth it Id say.
The muzzle expressions are mostly done for the main angles. The basic form of the eyes are done. I'm currently working on the ears.
I really like how smooth the ear rotation turned out to be
Without further ado
Here is expression test 2
And test 3
Finally we have the ear test
Still lots of things to be made, but we're slowly getting there
Alright, that wraps up this art thread.
Got anything to say? Post them down below, be it questions, critiques, or whatever.
If you want to see more frequent updates, you can check my twitter or just visit the poniverse discord server in the user art section. I prefer posting there due to them being....more convenient
Same goes as in real life, the appearance of a person kinda influences the first impression of said person
On the internet, that profile picture is your face.
For me personally, I sometimes make some basic assumptions on the person based on their avatars, like what possible fandom they're in, what their interests are.
Of course, it is not the most determining factor when judging a person, you wont be able to know one's full personality and story from a simple picture which is their pfp.
In conclusion, profile pictures or avatars act the same as your face in real life. They give someone a first impression about yourself before interacting further with you. But of course, the wise saying of not judging a book from its cover still applies when interacting with people on the internet.
