  1. admittedly my thing was a joke But I mean you never know. It IS possible that perhaps Trixie did try something in the EG just 'off camera' (Meaning it just wasn't shown). I mean, in FIM her start was the Poniville peoples were impressed by her magic, which she got upstaged and thus wanted revenge... THEN she tried to get her revenge, only to well fell. Then, you have the next version of Trixie which is seen as a 'joke' in the pony world (in some cases) which things get better for her after she befriends Starlight. So, in a way, this Trixie starts up AFTER she's seen as a 'fraud' so it skips over her 'over reaction to being upstaged' straight into the 'seen as a fraud' thing.
  2. Well, with the 'gem/bits' theory you're forgetting something about the portal, it converts EVERYTHING that is entered into it to the other versions equivillent. I mean Saddle bags turn into Backpacks, Dragons turn into dogs, Books turn into... well apparently books So it IS possible the bits turn into the currency of their world... so you never know. However, I feel like it's really something they'll just not address. I mean they don't even address the mane 6's parents (despite in FIM they've actually show all of their parents by this point.) But I mean it IS possible Sunset took over human Sunset's life. Would be the best explanation.
  3. Never know. Though I mean there's only brief cameo's in FIM that even tie into EG, so if they actually added Sunset to the FIM Series that'd be a big step in it But then you'd have to wonder... would that Sunset the one born in the Human world? Or the one we all know and love, born in Pony world?
  4. The only way I can think of that it'd work... would be that the entire movie is a flashback. So it'd start in the present, where whatever's happening, and Sunset thinks back on her past for some reason. Then towards the end, after the 'Twilight tease' It'd simply do some kind of 'first movie montage' then back tot he present. Could maybe even tie it into like perhaps something's making Sunset NEEDING to rethink about her past or maybe a memory spell or I dunno... Though the montage could help with the resolution just I just don't think it'd fully work well in this case without the flashback part. The only other thing I could possibly think of... again not sure if they'd do it.... would be the prequel would lead up to the first movie... but then they'd actually show the first movie again but then in Sunset's perspective. But, given how 'short' their movies can be... Yeah it may get all 'squished' together or something. *shrug*
  5. The issue with that kind of prequel is that well, for the type of show EG is, there'd be no 'resolution'. Cuz if it's a prequel to the first movie then all it would do would end in a rather bad note. Granted you COULD end it with 'teasing' twilight coming but again that's not a resolution. Shows that have the target audience that MLP has, don't tend to leave actual movies with the 'bad guy still in control' Yeah it's a prequel but it still would need a resolution for the 'good guys'. As for the questions.. well, for starters, you're assuming Sunset ever thought Magic from the pony world wouldn't work in the EG world to begin with... Granted she WAS a unicorn but she could of easily deduced that the change to her body (biggest one being loss of her horn) was why she couldn't use magic herself. It is also possible she tried to experiment with various other spells she learned but *shrug*. But I'm sure when she found the portal back to the pony world she was like "Ok, some kind of magic must work here." As for the Magical crown... honestly, the most logical option was that she went back to the pony world to find SOME kind of magic, in which she learned about the crown. After all, it's possible that she didn't make only the one trip to Pony world as she could of made a trip before that and simply found out about the crown during the first trip. After all, she'd of had to returned at some point to make the 'fake' crown and have it set up for the "Prom Queen's crown".
  6. I mean, not like Human Trixie COULD get herself ahold of something like that As for the question, I dunno. I mean I feel like each EG character does well in painting each of their pony equivalent well in a 'modern/human society' just Like I feel that the opposite is true too as each Pony represents their EG counterparts in a fantasy based Pony kingdom with Magic. So I can't say I like any of their counterparts more than the other.
  7. I shall just have to boop you right back!!
  8. Well, it's a bit of a mixed bag for myself. I do enjoy the 'fantastical' stuff as I always enjoy it when they have the fun villain or special artifact they need to deal with. But I feel like those were a bit more well written and I guess the 'interest' in the map as sort of run it's course. Cuz I also enjoyed the 'mundane' scenarios of the earlier seasons... truth be told I'd say Seasons 1-3 are my favorites of the bunch. But this is for more reasons than just that. Including the "I just learned a friendship lesson" part. cuz I feel in the first 3 seasons it made sense. IN season 1, it was Twilight writing to her mentor about what she learned. Season 2 continued the trend and I forget when they started writing in the book But still it felt more natural. Now, since they no longer have that, portion it always feels so, out of place when they start the ending "I just learned a friendship lesson" part as they speak it right there to the ponies they learned it from... just, feels so odd and unnatural... So much so that they've even made fun of it a time or two What would of been interesting is a progression in how Twilight (or whomever) presents the audience (the viewer of the series) the lessons she's learned. Like first you had the letters, then the book. Maybe graudate that until a solo book twilight herself writes, or like a memoir or something? Then with the school, they could of extended it further and maybe at the end of the episode you have Twilight actualy 'teaching' the students in class. Pretty much the old 'letters' but she'd be speaking directly to her students. Which would worked perfectly and made the graduation to a school honestly, that much more enjoyable as it was a natural progression for the 'I just learned a friendship lesson'... they could of even skipped the "Diary of a Princess" type thing or maybe had it in a "Princess of Friendship report to Celstria" or I dunno something... and kept the diary the 6 of them shared (allowing Twilight to start entries in it when she was introduced)… Or they could of even had Twilight telling the 'I just learned a friendship lesson' to Starlight. and THEN to the school. See, a lot more options for a natural progress to the "I just learned a Friendship lesson" than to force them to speak it outloud in the scenario like they do... But alas...
  9. First of all... WOOO!! I called it! I KNEW she was a villain!!! Well, after the catacombs episode! Woo! Anyways, ugh, more DVR issues but thankfully found another way to watch part 1. Nonetheless, I enjoyed this 2 parter. Cozy Glow makes for a pretty fun Villian, as I really like how they have her set up. Using Friendship itself as a weapon is pretty interesting. And Woo! Tirek was back-ish. Granted, I wonder if this should count as his '2nd' appearance. Since I mean, so far, Every Villian Minus Queen Crysilis have been uh... 'befriended' by their 2nd appearance. I'm super interested to see what they do next with Cozy Glow and even Tirek. Then you have the Elements of Harmony with the students being bearers of them... I honestly think that it's almost 'inevitible' at this point. When it'll happen is anyones guess. But right now I can see 2 possiblilities, at least how I'd do it. 1) Would be the season 9 opener, which wouldn't be the first time they 'hinted' at a special bond/power in the Finale then dealt with the crazy aftermath premiere of the next season. Actually, most seem to do just that. (Season 1 to 2 was the only one that didn't as the 'special thing' happened in the Premiere instead of the Finale). So I could easily see the primere being either a 2 parter or just a single episode where strange things are happening to the young 6 based on their element, then it accumulating into them needing to 'save the day' or something using their new 'Elements team blast' or something. 2) I honestly could see them setting it up for the Young 6 to becoming bearers at the series Finale. In a way, it'd pretty much set it up like a 'passing of the torch' type thing at the end where the Mane 6 need to save the day one final time, or even they try to save the day only to either require the Young 6 to help... OR even find out they can't do it but the NEW element bearers can, type of situation. But those are just my thoughts. Side note: "The 6 of you are trapped with me" Spike: 7!!
  10. Everyone knows Spike was kidnapped by Tirek so he could enslave him to do his evil bidding while he used the Rainbow of Darkness to 'evilize' 4 Ponies to pull is evil sled of DOOM!! huh? What do you mean wrong cannon?
  11. While I still found it more fun. The "Talking just to talk" well it's kind of the point. She hadn't been able to talk to someone in so long that she just can't help herself but to just keep blabbing, even if she's not really saying anything. But I kind of seen her as a bit 'kookoo' which added to her charm. Though again there is that logical reasoning for it. Yeah, I tend to notice some episodes don't have the best pacing or a song gets stretched out for longer than it's should have. Granted, I didn't notice the song being extra long, but I do feel like the solution was solved too quick. But more from a 'pacing' point of view. Well, that is part of the mystery behind the Map. We don't really know what it's all about. But I agree that I kind of wish they would gives us more details on it. I mean, It was a new interesting mystery from the start with the cutie marks but it's like, they writers have for the most part abandoned giving us information about it. I mean, ok we sometimes get a few small things, but not too much. Like the episode before this one. As for the g by rules, well, from what I understand, it's an extension of the Tree of Harmony, which is a magical 'force'/entity that can detect the balances of Frienship in the world (or at least in Maps borders.) When it detects an 'unbalance' it will deduce the best way to solve it, and since it can not solve it itself (it doesn't have a physical form, at least not one that it can materialize as it needs.) or perhaps it's also doing it to help the Mane 6 (and others it sends) to grow. So it's got 'rules' to an extent. However, I would like to see more backstory with it. I feel like they've put it on the backburner for a bit too long imo. As in I feel like the writers have more treated it like a 'fact of life' and are just rolling with it at times. Not to say they don't have a plan for it, but the way it's portrayed (including not even giving us like subtle clues or hints each time the map is used) it almost seems like they don't. -- Side note: I find it funny how Twilight's like "Cutie Marks Don't lie".... I think she forgot when Discord used a spell to make a fake summons for them
  12. Interesting episode. Was curious as to who the 'father' would be. Though I had my suspensions he was lying even before he started his lessons. I think it would be interesting to show more on Spike's parentage. Fun imagery for the episode was when Twilight lowers her head in that sad expression. And Starlight getting tossed out of the window while she was taking a bath
  13. Just wanted to comment a few things on your review. For one, I found Autumn Blaze's 'endless blathering' quiet funny but I understand that's a personal opinion type thing. As for the problem solution thing... well, for starters I think the 'solution' type thing being 'solved to fast' was due to it being put into a 30 Minute (less than that if you include comercials) show. They could of gone more indepth into the solution or even the issue. After all, yeah they COULD have come up with a better solution but for all we know it could of just been something they had to deal with for a long time. The occational arguments/anger episodes leading to them changing forms and what not. Just when the final argument escalated so badly that it was more a 'final straw' and the only thing they could think of WAS to just get rid of the problem. Which is something that other people tend to try and do as well. As in instead of try to 'fix' the problem or really 'deal with it' they just remove the problem or what 'causes' the problem. Which isn't a good thing at all, which is also part of what the episode was about. Not to mention a lot of these things are watered down. They take a 'lesson for kids' and construct a more interesting narrative out of it. Also, the "Follows the map without question"... well, you mean how they just leave without being like "Nah maybe we shouldn't"? If that's the case, it was kind of covered the first time it did it's thing. That there's ponies that need their help in that area and thus they're heading there to help. If you mean how they'll only let the two ponies summoned to go? Well, that has come up a few times and well in this case (and others) Twilight's part of he reason why. As she's a 'strickler' for Rules and in her mind, the 'rules' say that only those who are summoned by the cutie map are supposed to go. Thus she obey's said rules. They've also seen each time that the 'map does know what it's doing' as each time they've found out that the ponies it chose to send were the exact Ponies needed for the job. So it's like, why question what works?
  14. First of all... Fire Ponies?!? YES!! It's like they've taken parts of my own fan creation and made it canon!! :O (ok still some changes but still.) "Cloudsdale's in the clouds and Crystal Empire's made of Crystal..." Don't forget Ponyville is the home of Ponies!! But still Funny I really enjoyed this episode. The song was well done and these new Fire ponies. Woo! Sadly, it just seemed short for me... yeah I know they're like 20+ minutes long but still this one felt shorter than usual. (seen a few like that) maybe it's cuz I was more enjoying it? or the song extended it, I dunno. I can say that Twilight's school now needs one of them ponies! They're too cool a concept to just throw away on a "Lesson in Anger".
  15. Dang, wish I could join in the quest, but tomorrow's a school DL and I only JUST now found out about these questions. Shame
  16. I gotta say. I enjoyed this one. Always like the whole "Test" based episodes where they need to prove their worth or what not. This one did it fine. And Aww The dragon I forgot her name... looked so adorable in that dress! :3 Anyways, more curious about what's next for the tree of life. Should be interesting.
  17. Not sure I get the rewards thing.  But hey thanks anyways. :)

  18. First of all, I'm annoyed my timer for this show keeps on not working. It's annoying! But I liked this episode. Yeah there were a few times where I was like, "Why didn't they just put his class outside" or "Why don't they just tell him what he did wrong but give him another chance." Seriously all of the jobs he took it's like they gave him 1 chance then just shoved him out the door. Kind of dumb. But I did enjoy the ending of the episode. Nearly got me teared up.
  19. So many things to talk about with this. Starting with, I noticed the site changed up the voting thing for the episode. Anyways, first of all, the washout's attire, I think it pretty cool, and I kind of like it more than the Wonderbolts. Next, I called the Washouts being Wonderbolt wash outs as. Anyways, it was an interesting episode and I felt a little more tame than some of the other 'life lessons'. Rainbow Dash jealous of them and a return of Lightning Dust. I dunno, I thought Spitfire's 'pep talk' was a bit 'over the top' I mean was that on purpose? I dunno. And a few times Lightning Dust sounded like Starlight. Britt Irvin's not the name of Starlight's voice actor is it? I did want to touch on something else. I found it interesting that they brought up Scootaloo's "I can't fly" thing... yet, there wasn't a 'You're just not old enough' remark that was used after it. So was this possibly them acknowledging Scootaloo's handicap? or they just didn't think it was needed at the time? Still think they should address it again. And this would of been an interesting time to have done it. But ah well.
  20. While true, wasn't it more an issue with the fact that the wagon was so full that it broke the handle due to all the pressure on it? Nonethless if it wasn't it was really the only instance of it 'falling apart' since if you looked at their trip during their song, the wagon didn't fall apart or anything but kept together and all that. The issue was more the fact that Twilight had too much stuff for such small space. And not that the wagon was in bad shape, considering the one guy was using it well when he had it for the 'brief' moment.
  21. I thought the show had the wagon seem very sturdy, but yeah it is pretty small And it is funny though. This episode is not even the first time Trixie and Starlight have traveled together. The first being the first part of the Changling episode where Trixie traveled with Starlight to her old village. She even had her caravan with her. And if I remember right, it was a bit of a trip too if I recall close to a day round trip.
  22. A very enjoyable episode. I always enjoy a good Starlight centered episode and even ones that include Trixie into it. Like others have comented the two have very good chemistry together and most of things flowed quiet well. I even liked how the 'issues' and frustrations actually naturally grew instead of them going straight at ends with each other right after the inn issue. (when they apologies and continued) it was nice. I would of liked to see a bit more of that bond with Trixie and her wagon. Maybe a small flashback or montage to really help cement her feelings for it. Don't get me wrong, I could see why she wouldn't want to trade it and what not. Cenemintal value and she let us know well enough. But would of loved to have seen something, to really cement it. Also, *Mocks Mane 6 for singing songs* then... *Sings a song right after* Anyways, to wrap it up. Another good episode staring the Great And Powerful Duo!
  23. First of all I was a bit annoyed when I found out that for some reason my timer just suddenly stopped recording it... or it shifted to a different channel on my satilite of I don't know. Had to wait a week to finally see it Anyways, as for the episode itself, again I'm in between "meh" and "I like it", as it was ok. I find the 'sad Pinkie" episodes enjoyable and I got the lesson just, I dunno, I did like how I feel like they were doing better in trying to make her feel better, just, why didn't they think about like hiring a tutor for Pinkie? Yeah I get it wasn't the moral of the show, but it would of been a bit interesting if it ended with that. Because yeah some things can be difficult to learn on your own and most of those thigns depends on the person. They could of perhaps tied that into the episode? Like a "It's ok to need help with something and not be 'sad' if you're not a natural at it or need help in learning it". Ah well. I agree. Dunno if it was for the same reason, but I thought it was going to be about the Yak student, forgot her name, perhaps having to deal with being removed from school or what not. :/ But turns out it's about Pinkie Pie trying to play a instrument!
  24. Yeah I can see those points about what Rainbowdash did. Problem is, the things I mentioned with rarity, the show actually imphasised it by having Rainbow Dash have a "That's pretty cool" moment or what not. You only got like one of those with Rarity. And Ah, I can see that. I barely had any friends growing up so can't say I really knew about that. Social outcast after all! But, I still feel like it could of done better. Maybe do something a bit close, but not exactly "We're not friends any more" extremes. It's more on what they decide to 'stress' or emphasis in the show. So while they could feel like their friendship is over, I think it could of done a bit more on emphasizing something else.. or just have it feel more natural.
  25. Hmm... not bad with the episode. At least I think it did better than the Applejack/Rainbow Dash issue. Just, well, two things. 1) why does it have to go to those kinds of extremes? By ending friendships... I dunno, it was 'ok' but I feel like that "We're different so we can't be friends" storyline is over down and I feel like that was a 'tad' forced but I think it had a bit better flow. 2) Predictable. I'm sorry but I mean... it was pretty predictable that when Starlight is like "I need to get some help" and then poof Twilight suddenly has something disappeared. Yeah, new they were behind it... so *shrug* Though, is it just me... or did it seem more like Rarity was doing more things to 'redeem herself' in Rarity's eyes than Rainbow Dash? She built the raft, fix the frog thing's bad breath... and unlocked the door. Rainbow dash just... flew her out of the swamp... unless you count the 'making cloud' thing :/ So I dunno. It was predictable but still a bit interesting... so I feel like it was in between 'liked it' and 'meh' :/ I think you hit some nails on the head with this. Seriously, the main conflict with them was just 'over doing it' (so it seemed) so I think that would of made a better episode then a "We're different we can't be friends... oh wait we have some things that are cool, guess we can be friends" again...
