      More or less I was thinking about the same setup, never had an opportunity to buy a digital pen.

      @R.D.Dash they're cheaper than ever, and quality isn't lacking much even on the cheap ones, they have pretty good pressure sensitiviy etc, i made the reasearch recently, so if you decide to buy one let me know and i'll find you the best one in your price-range (if you go for one without a monitor, they can be as cheap as 20-30 dollars)
      just make sure to not set it up like Trixie, you need to have it paralel with your screen
