the biggest question left hanging in gen 5 is mayonnaise... why?

Just saw the new MLP filum!

Overall, I enjoyed it. The resolution maybe felt a little bit out of nowhere/rushed/forced. Plus, the villain ain't the strongest I have seen so far. And I wonder about Sunny's current status: is she now an alicorn or she just gained an ability to summon astral horn and wings?
