  1. I noticed your content counter is stuck at 9999. Would be funny if it rolled to 0000 after making another post in one of the threads.  He he  :sassy:

Technology How old is your computer?

2 years later: Ended up buying a new laptop for my telescope cameras. I'm still using my old gaming pc tho. It's really showing its age, so a replacement is on the horizon

  4. I'd stay right where I am. I live way out in the country
  5. Not that great. I've lost both of my grandparents within a 5 month span and 2020 still isn't finished making life hell for me.

Mega Thread Everypony's Religion And Why?

I've pretty much been a classical deist most of my life, just didn't know what it was called til I was in my early teens. My early religious disagreements and interest in the founding fathers of the U.S. lead me down this path. Most of my family are either southern Baptist or Catholic, so the conversation can get awkward at times.
  7. Raptor: Call of the Shadows is still pretty fun all these years later. It's one of my childhood favorites.

  8. Sonic CD! I love the time travel aspect of the game and how the game shows you the consequences of just blowing thru it. Next favorite would be Sonic 2
  9. Would love to see a cartoon series based on the Shantae games.

  11. Images of Mars from my 16" telescope last night. Conditions were decent, but the humidity and skeeters were unbearable.

    1st Pic: Color

2nd Pic: Near IR filter (improves contrast)

3rd Pic: Violet filter (enhances view of Martian clouds; blue and UV filters will also do this)

Equipment used: Skywatcher 16 (telescope); ZWO ASI224MC (color camera); ZWO ASI178MM (monochrome camera)

  12. My current commute is 30 minutes to work. 2/3 of which is on an interstate highway. The remaining is on a curvy, congested 2-lane highway. Overall the commute isn't too bad, but there are some days where you just question how you have any hair left. Worst part is getting on the interstate in the mornings cuz school traffic is insane. When I move, my commute will become an hour drive, but nearly all of the commute is on a straight 2-lane highway with very few people. Rather peaceful drive actually.
  13. I really should visit more often.

  14. It's been forever since we last chatted.

    How's life treating ya, Kyo?

Life hasn't been great. Mental troubles such as no confidence, a growing nihilistic outlook on life and constant anxiety all feel as though they are draining my will to live. Slowly but surely. Even so, I am still trying my best to at least enjoy things even if I have a doomed future. Mostly been gaming, reading up on different subjects, chatting with my boyfriend, trying to enjoy any and all nice weather. The basic simple joys I always come back to. Not exciting in the least for anyone else to hear about but my life is as basic as it gets. I just wish it was that way for my mental state.

    Animation Beetlejuice the Animated Series

Yeah, I remember the Beetlejuice cartoon from when I was a kid. Don't remember any of the specifics tho
  16. I live way out in the country. Closest McDonald's is like 30 something miles away. There isn't a single traffic light in this county either. The two little towns just have 4-way stop signs.
  17. I use my TV as a computer monitor I don't really watch much TV these days, but I still keep an antenna connected so I can receive local weather and news. (I like the format of local news channels). Internet would be tough to go without. I love youtube a bit too much, plus I enjoy chatting with my online friends.
  18. One. Secretary at my work had it but thankfully she quickly recovered.
  19. Not much. Ate breakfast this morning. Have to mow the grass at some point today
  20. A bit better now. Had a pounding headache and light sensitivity earlier this morning. Not gonna go into the reason why.
  21. There's also a 9 axis political quiz. Has a short and long version. I definitely recommend the long version after taking both. https://9axes.github.io/
  22. Kinda miss the days when I use to be really active on here

You're busy stargazing with Twilight Sparkle. It's understandable that you would be preoccupied. :adorkable:

Never too late to be active. Also, I miss the Sonic CD stuff, like way too much! :kindness::please:

@Sparklefan1234, I wish. Life's been crazy this year. Also lost my granddad a couple months ago and have been thinking about him lately.

      @Splashee®, Heh, I know.  ;)

  23. Jupiter and Saturn.

Calm conditions tonight. Lower humidity too, cuz I didn't have to use the hairdryer on my telescope. lol

      Good, they are still there!

I do see them in the sky, but they are just dots, even zoomed in with my camera, Saturn is a fancy blurry glowy disc

I can just make out Saturn's rings with 10x50 binoculars. Gotta hold em steady tho.

Those images above are at about 480X magnification. Without a tracking mount, a planet or star would quickly exit the field of view.

      Why is Earth rotating? :Cozy:

Yea, hand are shaking too much and too dark to photo without bringing up iso to high, making terrible quality (for me)

I am the cheapest tracking mount
