@Sparklefan1234, ha ha! She's sorta been staying out of trouble.

Really enjoyed the eclipse last night, even tho it was cold and windy. Brrrr! It's pretty surreal seeing the winter Milky Way and Fall Zodiacal Light together with the red Moon. One of the pleasures of living far away from city light pollution.
I made an animation of the eclipse up to a few minutes beyond peak. This eclipse was a partial (95%). Had to call it quits shortly after cuz the cold was zapping my camera batteries and my coffee had worn off.
Not sure if Twily knew this or not but that camera trigger is programmable. She could've set it to take pics every few minutes so she could stay by the heater (worth every penny, btw)
Enjoy!

There's a lunar eclipse later this week and Twilight forgot to unpack the rest of my telescope gear. Batteries need to be charged.... she's slacking

@Phosphor Well, that new autobiography of Starswirl the Bearded just came out. She’s been a little busy reading that.

Flame spreader for one of my large center draft lamps came in. This thing looks new old stock cuz there aren't any wear marks and the brass is still shiny. The old one is missing the spreader ring. The lamp functioned ok but produced very smelly exhaust.
These lamps seem like crude instruments from the 1800s, but there's actually some impressive engineering behind the components. Flame spreaders are designed to regulate airflow to the wick and burn off unspent fuel. After warm-up, the lamps produce virtually no odor. The central tube draws fresh air from the bottom of the lamp, which keeps the fuel in the font from overheating.
The result is a nice cozy tabletop fireplace

The motor mounts for my generator finally came in today. I ordered these way back in July!

I like how PInkie PIe is the only one still smiling after Rarity shouts "Fry Brains!"

Power company has been installing fiber along one of the state highways and plans to connect some homes within the trial area. Hope they run fiber here but I won't get my hopes up considering where I live.

The G5 movie seems to have rekindled my interest in the pones.
I look forward to the series

@Phosphor So, Twilight Sparkle's been relegated to a box since stargazing season ended?
-
@Sparklefan1234, not at all. She rests on my nightstand these days. Actually, stargazing season is just getting started here. Summer is a lost cause cuz of the insane humidity and rain.
@AppleButt, I saw that mayo reaction! Curses! lol

I was able to watch the new G5 movie earlier. Enjoyed it actually!
Now I need to get some sleep. My eyes can barely focus. lol-
@Phosphor It even got YOU to re-enter the pony chat, my man, my myth, my legend?! I love the movie even more now!

Wonder if the new G5 movie will be released on Blu ray?

I have been in a Fall mood lately. So ready for the evenings where I can open the windows and let the cool/dry air in.
Also the best time to enjoy candles and oil lamps -
Today was a pretty good for a Monday. Heard several Bob White quail this morning while walking to the car and picked about a pint of wild Huckleberries earlier this evening. Also enjoyed watching Venus on the western horizon, at least til the skeeters showed up.
Really amazed at how these bushes are loaded with berries, especially considering their small size. Most are about 2ft tall or less.

Oh man what a complete 180 from yesterday. I was feeling pretty decent around bedtime but woke up this morning soaking wet from the fever. Somehow this crud has developed into a full blown chest cold
All I could eat this evening was a cup of ice cream and barely finished it. Now that's unusual for me -
My fruit trees and blueberry bushes are loving this rain.
Kinda regretting that I didn't mow last weekend while it was dry tho

Not feeling real good this morning but it was nice to wake up to the call of Bob White quail thru the window.
How are yall? It's been a while
