Oh my goodness! I love this!

Drew Brees carves up another defense! Saints win 51-14 over the Bengals!

@Duality, thank you!
Some portions of Infrared light pass thru. I think the sky is black in IR due to very low Rayleigh Scatter.

@DEFENDER, she definitely was!

@Tylad, go for it! No Vapor Trail desktop background?

Thank you, @Partialgeek514! You are not alone in that thinking.
With my current cameras, I have access from 250nm-1200nm and 2000-5000nm.
I would have to take out a mortgage to buy a shortwave IR camera that operates between 1200-2000nm. Those sensors are crazy expensive!

Near IR:
- Landscapes, because vegetation strongly reflects it and appears bright white.
- Clouds: They appear bright white and the sky appears black due to little Rayleigh scattering
- Planets: different cloud structures can be seen and the atmosphere is less turbulent in this region
- Cars: Many automotive paints become transparent and you can see the different types of plastics used.
Thermal IR: Anything above absolute zero.

I wish Astronomy and Nature TV was more active on Youtube. I love their content!

@DivineGlow1000, the only astronomy I've done for the last week and a half is watching it on youtube. It's been raining all week long.
Tomorrow is suppose to be sunny and chilly, tho.

@Tacodidra, if not, I have Spitfire's number and video of a certain lazy pegasus sleeping on the job.

One thing I don't like about the time change is that it gets dark so early. My driving goes with the sunset.

I do ok in that department. Night driving is probably my biggest weakness. I have great night vision, but headlights from other cars cause all sorts of problems for me. I tend to get disoriented a bit, when too many lights are blinding me.
I usually avoid night driving as much as possible because of that. It scares me sometimes.

I don't understand Russian, but this animation is too cute!

I wanted to photograph the front of the lens but my reflection would be in the picture. Yeah, I'm THAT paranoid.
@Duality, it exists outside of the periodic table if your wallet is thick. Seriously, tho. I got one hell of a deal on that telephoto lens. I'll post some thermal images on here soon.

Looks like I might get a chance to do some observing Saturday, after that cold front pushes thru. The real issue will be cooling down the big primary mirror!

Best way to unwind after an atrocious day at work.

@Partialgeek514, just hook up a 2nd "MLP" monitor to your work computer if you have one.
-
@Phosphor I'd love to, but I've got a factory job, so I don't think that'd work very well. Maybe I'll do it once I start school!

Pretty sure Apple Bloom is too young to be a circuit court judge, but I wrote in her name anyway.

I think this was the moment where the show won me over.
I wish Rainbow Dash would clear my skies in 10 seconds flat. It's been cloudy.

@Tacodidra, my little sister is just like Pinkie Pie.
Another favorite:
"All the ponies in this town are.... CRAZY!"

Damian Peach is the king of planetary imaging! I need to move to Barbados, where the atmosphere is super calm.

@R.D.Dash, probably. I'm not sure how kirin or ponies would react to seeing a human.

I like this animation and art style.
