Yeah, She's pretty cool! I even have a Rainbow Dash coffee mug.
And this is coming from an Applejack and Twilight Sparkle fan.

No way would I find physical harm justifiable for typical bad behavior. I would certainly scold or call out a pony for it, tho.

Friendship is Magic part 1 and 2 for me. I became a fan of the show after that.

I remember when MLP:FiM first came out. I was in college but I didn't give the show a chance until around August of last year. For a long time I thought the show was for little kids and too girly. Man, was I wrong! Fan made content got me to watch the show. I found this forum a while back by googling it and lurked around until I decided to join in July. I'm glad I did!
Happy 8th Anniversary to MLP:FiM!

I interpret teacups as "I'll drink to that". I'm fine with them not counting towards a users reputation as I tend to use teacups for lighthearted fun.

Is Phosphorus your favorite element?
Ha ha, no. Mercury is my favorite element.

Usually late in the evening and at night. I work during the day, but I occasionally log on in the morning during coffee break.

In my teens and early 20's: Neoconservative. I was socially conservative but had a weird mix of left and right leaning ideas economically. I can remember being in favor of price controls and stuff. I was a big fan of Bush, Bill Kristol and a few others at that time. Yikes, I know.
Mid to late 20's (current): Right leaning libertarian.
It's kinda fun to look back at my old political views.

I have gotten a lot better over the years with eating better. Trying to avoid the health problems that plague my family members when they hit 50 or so.

Favorite would have to be astronomy!
I also enjoy optics as there's quite a bit of overlap with my hobbies in amateur astronomy and UV/IR photography.

I eat pizza crust, especially if it's stuffed with cheese.

It takes a lot to get me angry, so if I am it's usually for a good reason. Target practice, driving range, darts, cartoons and some video games are some avenues I use to release frustration and stress.

I can't count how many times I moved. Most of those were when I was a kid. I've been at my current place for over a decade. I'm not a fan of moving because it's stressful trying to adjust to the new surroundings and people.

Mid to late 1800's is my favorite time period. Firearms and ammunition technology really advanced after the invention of the percussion cap and later black powder cartridges.

George H.W. Bush was president when I was born.

Indoors - a little. I sleep with a dim red night light.
Outdoors - No. My night vision is very good. Plus, I'm an amateur astronomer. I can't be afraid of the dark.

60 hours. It was right after hurricane Katrina hit. I was a small engine mechanic at the time. The shop I worked at put a priority on chainsaw and generator repair.

I don't think the show has affected my life much. I didn't become a fan until a year ago, but I will say this: The show is great at lowering blood pressure!

Venus as a crescent... my favorite. In a bout a week, the planet will disappear into the evening twilight sky as it passes between the Earth and Sun. This is known as Inferior Conjunction. Luckily, this period is brief and the planet will appear in the morning sky around the 1st week of November or so. The crescent phase will then be on the opposite side of the planet.
I imaged the planet in broad daylight, which gives me an altitude advantage. I also imaged in the Near IR spectrum. This eliminates the problem of atmospheric dispersion and the sky becomes black; otherwise, the background would be bright blue. Shining at -4.5 magnitude, Venus is bright enough to be seen in the afternoon without optical aid. It's pretty neat!

Same here. My dad is diabetic and over 50. Plus, I'm also overweight... and that puts me at an even higher risk for it. :S
I'm hoping to prevent it by continuing to lift weights.

Thankfully, no. Last 2 tests were normal. Diabetes runs in my family and is of great concern to me. Most in my family above 50 has it and other health problems.

The first thing you do when you got home from work/school.
in General Discussion
I change out of my hot work clothes. Pants and thick company shirts suck when the humidity is 200% and it's hot as hell outside.
Oh and after that, I check the astronomy forecast.
