  1. School ends at age 16 in the UK and honestly, I think it should end at 16 in the US too, and have more elective and optional classes. In a standard American high school, you're forced to slave away aimlessly for four years on mostly required classes with no real-life application, and then you're expected to jump straight into college and know what you want to do. What you really end up with is a bunch of kids who don't want to do ANYTHING.

      That's the plan. Grind students into servitude. That's the purpose of US education. To make people into cogs for the machine.

      If you're lucky, in the last few years of High School, you can get off periods. Leave school early, take back half your day, and only have half as many classes to do assignments for. :squee:

      I'm eighteen and still in school. :worry: Once you hit sixteen, you're eligible to be able to leave but because the final exams stupidly determine your future, it's not recommended. :yeahno: As a result, if I was doing the final year, I would've been nineteen and still in school! :( 

      I'm not. :mlp_gag: I've been in negotiations with an acting college to let me in early! :-D That now makes this my last year! :pinkie:
