    Random question: What number looks the best to you, and what number is the ugliest?

    Personally, I've always really liked the number 17. It looks so angular and poised, and the digits almost form a right triangle. :darling:

    I also really like 78 and 87, since they combine the two best-looking digits (in my opinion). The sharpness of the 7 and the roundness of the 8 make for a nice contrast. ^_^

    On the flip side, I've always found the number 52 really ugly. Something about the digit combination looks so gross and awkward. :eww:

      I don't usually think of the appearance of numbers. Prime numbers are neat, highly divisible numbers are pretty cool, wonderfully binary numbers are wonderful. Oddly enough considering your number choices up there, 52 is one of the only numbers I think of how it looks. On a digital clock, the 52 is symmetric and looks like a cross sticking out of the ground, like a crucifix, and as such is my favorite appearance-wise.
