I'd love to see the fan reaction to that! Maldonado was strangely inconsistent – great on his day but usually awful! That win he got was really amazing, though – beating Alonso in what many consider his best season!

That race has got to be one of the weirdest ones in recent history!

A weird weekend when Williams had a great car (which didn't happen that many times that season) and Maldonado had a flawless performance (even rarer).

I read there was another driver like that back in the 70s – Vittorio Brambilla. He constantly crashed but somehow won a race. And even then, he apparently crashed after finishing the race.
