For me, Season 5 will always be the most beautiful and emotional season of MLP. It just has so many wonderful moments. The background ponies finally got their day in the limelight, Twilight reunited with her old Canterlot friends, Rarity achieved her dream of opening a store in Canterlot, the CMC finally earned their cutie marks, Pinkie Pie's family finally appeared, Rara embraced who she truly is on the inside, and the Mane 6 gained a wonderful new friend in a reformed Starlight Glimmer.

I think the last shot of the season sums it up perfectly. Pretty much everypony got their time to shine, and if there's any season that makes Equestria feel real, it's this one. Season 5 really makes it feel like all of the ponies in Equestria are all one big happy family. And if you're a fan watching at home, you're part of the family too, and you're welcome to visit your favorite ponies whenever you like. Equestria is more than just a 2D fantasy world. It's a real place of kindness, laughter, love and good times.
