I don't think you should let that bother you,

It happens with every fandom that people say this should die etc

I hate it too, but let my give you some helpful advice, my friend. 

Don't let the haters live in your head rent-free.

Those people who hate Sonic and the Sonic fandom? They aren't worth your time, attention, and they aren't worth thinking about. But if you're always thinking about them, then they've won. So why let them live in your head rent-free when you have better things to think about?

Sonic is awesome. I love it, you love it, we know plenty of people who love Sonic; all of us are perfectly normal people that have never hurt anyone. We're just fans having a going time enjoying the blue blur. That's all that matters! The haters don't pay your bills, they don't raise you, feed you, take care of you, or anything. So you don't owe them a thing. Just keep on loving what you love, and brush off any jealous trolls that say otherwise.

I personally am not a fan of Sonic, but I don't hate the franchise. That's ridiculous! Don't let others bring down your enjoyment of things!
